Question #1155: Relationship advice

Hello brothers and sisters,

I’m looking for some general advice in relationships. I’ve never seen my parents together so I’m always afraid I don’t know how to have a good romantic relationship with someone.

I’ve been googling this topic but whenever I find someone talk on the subject I look up his or her origin and they turn out to be jewish.

I’m looking for some general basic guidelines I know there are many different approaches what people say “always give more than you take” or “don’t overvalue the other person too much”, “just be yourself” and many others that all contradict themselves.
I’m just a little confused

So what is the right/satanic one or way for relationship and how to act ? Asking from a male perspective

Treating others like you want to be treated goes a long way, and the same with communication. That being said, it pays dividends to improve yourself as then you will treat yourself better and as a consequence others too.

Also, open communication. Don't assume things. Ask her about herself, what her interests are, but don't be fake and pretend to like the same things. It is normal to have different hobbies or taste in music, for example. Don't be overly critical though, nobody likes that. Be mutually supportive, and mutually respectful, don't put her on a pedestal as the saying goes. You are important too.

Take it one step at a time, a relationship is a learning process.
