Question #1143: Jews forbidden.to read their Torah under penalty of death?

Is it true that when Italy was under quote/unquote "pagan" rule that the jews were forbidden to read their Torah in their synagogues under penalty of death? If true the Italians must have had some strong feelings about it.

Considering that the torah is a book of black magic, where "goym" are cursed.

It might make sense, in that preventing one from "reading it" is equivalent to preventing one from getting "killed.

Maybe,why would a king allow his people to be cursed by people who didnt even belong with there?
Jews cant blame anyone since they themselves wont allow half of their population (jewish women) to read talmud.
I believe even in today's world torah and the christian bible and quran should be banned because of their human hating verses
