Sharissaking, there's nothing wrong with asking Satan for help if it's something that you cannot do on your own, after exhausting all your options and doing everything in your power.
Also, Satan doesn't laugh at us for wanting to pray and talk to him, and telling him how our day went, what's in our hearts and minds, and pressing concerns. It's good to talk to him like you would a father, with respect, love, openness, honesty and sincerity.
It doesn't sound like you're talking to Satan like you're asking for a wish list of presents to be granted. Some people think they sound like this when they actually do not.
You can pray for other people if you want to when talking/praying to Satan, but just a gentle reminder that this isn't Christianity, where you have to have huge prayer sessions in praying for the salvation of other people.
It's okay to want to talk about yourself and what's going on in your life.
A suggestion, which I sometimes do, is ask Satan for instructions on what he wants, and for his guidance. He will blatantly let you know, clearly, through telepathy, ideas and suggestions that "pop out of the blue", and things that seem like coincidence but really aren't. If you are open then you will hear his voice clearly tell you.
