I’m hoping the community can please help me figure out if I’m just imagining things or if there’s something real going on. Phosphenes are light patterns burned into your retina after you look at a light and close your eyes. They leave an imprint of the shape and are usually a blue color. These are completely normal and don’t have anything to do with spiritual orbs
However, I often see perfectly round orbs that behave like phosphenes, most especially after I pray to the Gods or meditate. They come and go, but even in completely dark rooms (with no light to burn my retina), I will see them after praying or meditating. They are a bright astral blue, though sometimes they appear other vibrant colors like yellow, pink, or green, but blue is the most common. If I try to focus on them, they disappear. They appear in varying sizes and sometimes in groups. I don’t have any vision problems, and I’m really trying to not confuse something that could be ordinary with something spiritual.
Could anyone please tell me what I am seeing? Are these just my eyes misfiring, or am I picking up on something?
The one time I saw an orb after a meditation, it moved on its own, and you could watch it as it fizzled away. These strange blue orbs are quite different from that experience.
