I bought a chromebook some time ago for studying, without realizing the difference between them and actual laptops.

I have tried getting the Tor browser but it won't work, and I'm not very adept with Linux. I'm not sure what browser I should use that will provide for privacy.

Are there any browsers that are compatible that I may not be aware of? I've read through BrightSpace's topics about browsers and such but they either don't work properly or I'm not experienced enough to use them.

Please I'm not more hearing BrightSpace anymore, What is really happening... I missed his/her writings.I enjoyed reading one of his books, "The Quintessence of our Existence."

I am here, I have always been here and I will always be here. I just don't post on the forums, apart from that I read the Forums every single day and I know what's going on.

Thank you for your kind words!

Install a popular beginner friendly linux distro and that's it. They are easy to use. You can watch videos on this. There is like a 4 hour long video, that is a linux crash course for beginners, if you watch that, you will know everything you need.

If you consider buying anything, buy something that has a amd processor.

Is there an email I could reach you? I wanted to share some thoughts I have in regards to a future project in the eventual future when I have the time.

If you have the time and are willing to learn, some chromebooks can be modified with a bios flash in order to just run Linux on them to be more secure and with Linux you have endless choices of browsers and secure software.

I have a chromebook I flashed to run Devuan Linux on an inserted SD card. Some of these compatible chrome books are very cheap.

Of course, you can write to me. Write an email to [email protected] and we'll discuss the rest there.
