i think i know how i can help you.try listening to some heavy metal music it will start out the energy in you just focus and feel the loud music while focusing on feeling the power of the dedication ritual.leave your whole body still without moving it, helps feel energy when focusing on the dedication ritual as well.

You've dedicated and you cant feel any power..
Have you read anything? The JoS maybe?
Begin your power meditations, some people feel the energy differently than other people. As for sitting there and listening to heavy metal music, feeling the music.. No.. Meditation after the dedication is recommended, but without sound.

Also, not being rude, but you would know what to do if you didn't blindly dedicate without research first.

Now now Dane, be nice.     Personally, I listen to music while I meditate, but it makes no difference.  
It helps me concentrate, go into a trance easier, and helps me from being startled out of trance from something like maybe a...phone call, or other such thing.   Feeling the music? You're right, nothing. But people have their own way of meditating as long as they follow the power meditations to a degree, they should be fine. Now shush and stop being rude. I know it's annoying feeling as if you're the only who's read the JoS, but just hang in there, help them out.
