Need some help on protection magick

So my family has had its worst week in years, (((coincidentally))) starting just after Yom Kippur. My mom had to get surgery for complications from a thirty-year-old operation, and *Immediately* after that I came down with the worst flu I've had in years, which of course spread to the rest of the family including my mom who was still recovering. I can take it, but I have to make sure my family's safe. What can I do?

Just a side question, if I have a strong Aura of Protection will that stop curses from being "relayed" through me to my family, or do I have to find a way to protect them as well?

That's good stuff, I just need to know if there's anything extra I need to do to keep those around me protected when I'm doing RTRs. Am I the one that's getting "locked on," and the curses are essentially being "broadcasted" to my family that way (In which case I just need to build a solid aura of protection), or do I need to somehow put an aura of protection around them as well (Which I don't know how to do)?

You're not the only one. A friend of mine told me he experienced the worst day of his life about 2-3 weeks ago (which happened, of course, not too long after Yom Kippur), except he is not an SS. 
It is possible to instill an aura of protection around those you care about. At the bottom of the following page, it explains how you can use the same procedure of creating the aura of protection on yourself, to create one for someone else. They don't need to be an SS and you can defend them from negative influences like this, even though they might not be aware it's you who's helping them.
