Whatever you do. Do not see a chiropractor. I started getting headaches and having my neck click after having my neck clicked by a chiropractor a couple times.

I don't have a remedy for you. Most would say take a pain killer.

What I like to do to straighten my posture out is to lie on my back on the floor.

Put a book or two under the back of your head. With your knees bent. It's called lying in the semi-supine position. And shouldn't be done for more than 20 minutes because the Alexander Technique people found you stop getting benefits after 20 minutes.

Try in future to pay attention to what you're doing to yourself posturally.

If I am not wrong that is an indication of a stiff neck. It will go away in time. There's a lot of home remedies. Try searching it on the internet.

Be careful not to make very rough movements of the neck and educate yourself on its anatomy.

From my experience with exercise, it is now a lifelong personal commitment of mine along with meditation and a healthy balanced diet.

Either you have made an abrupt movement or held your neck up in an incorrect position. A similar example is exercising for abs done the wrong way, when you lift you need to keep your neck in a relaxed and natural position and not to try to lift with your neck but with your abs. This mistake can cause neck pain for a few days.

If you don't find the solution here and if it doesn't go away after a few days, see your doctor.

thanx for all the help you guys

One important thing is to keep your muscles supple, Also if you have any injury for example a broken leg, keep moving the leg around, This is really important for the healing process.

I know of one simple exercise for your neck that will most likely get rid of your pain is a couple of days, Shouldn't take longer than a week or 2.

So the only thing that you do in this exercise is stretch your neck muscles, This should always work if you do it right. You want to put tension on the muscle you are working on but never put any real force on the muscle's with this exercise, It should not become uncomfortable or painful (Since there is already pain in your neck some uncomfort is to be expected), I also want to state to not rotate your head around in a circle, Because this can and will damage your spine if done regularly.

Lets start the exercise:
Lets begin with turning your head to the left as far as you can comfortably and hold this for a couple of seconds, Now turn your head to the right in the same manner. Return your head back to the original position and afterwards bend your head downwards towards your chest, Now bend your head backwards as if you are looking up to stars (You may support your head if its uncomfortable). Lastly you will look over your shoulders so last start with looking over your left shoulder, After wards look over your right shoulder.

After this exercise you will find that your neck flexibility and mobility has increased substantially, And its possible that the pain in the neck has subsided, But this doesn't have to be the case after the first couple of times.

Do this at least once a day, And i will guaranty that the pain will go away after a little while, If the pain won't go away at all or if it gets worse go to a doctor, Because you might have some underlying problems if this does not work.

There is also a simple way to build neck muscle, If you are interested just ask.
