These things happen, its an unfortunate truth. I doubt it had anything to do with the enemy. I suggest making sure your cats are kept inside, and a close eye on them when they're outside. All too often this can happen. Luckily cats are much quicker to react than lambs in such situations.

Keep them inside, and when they are outside put collars with bells on them so you know where they are.I prefer to keep them inside though, indoor cats live longer then outdoor cats.
