I started the Shrim Maha Lakhsmi mantra 2 weeks ago. I do it twice at 54x reps but yesterday I needed to sleep a little and ended up sleeping until the morning. Should I keep going and do it 2 times a day?

Missing a session can end the working or weaken it heavily. A new day typically begins at sunrise, so missing the session likely ended the cycle of your working.

Fortunately, it is already seeded in your soul - it is there. You can resume your working today, especially as the Moon is in Taurus (New Moon). However, you might want to aim for another 40 days, which is ideal since you missed a session, and focusing on building wealth and fortune.

You have a span of 36 hours, you can do 4 times 54x or 2 times 108x. Or 3 times 72x. Your working wont be strong as if you did it 2 times 54x for the numbers of days you aim but it will still be better than stopping it now.

A new day is a new day.

Yes, you are correct, when referring to the correct system, which is Sunrise to Sunrise, approximately at 6 AM each day.

However. I used the word "typically" earlier because I was considering a broader contexts, but following the true Sunrise-to-Sunrise method, a new day always begins at sunrise. Sunrise happens at different local times depending on where you are (due to Earth's rotation and your longitude/latitude). In high latitudes (like near the poles or where I am from), sunrise can be very early, very late, or even absent for months. During summer, the sun can stay above the horizon for months, called the Midnight Sun, meaning there’s no traditional sunrise or sunset for a long time. During winter, the sun can be absent for months, called the Polar Night, meaning it doesn't rise at all.
