Meditation & Electronics

I have somewhat of a problem. Every time I visualize intensely that I'm being completely submerged in light way brighter than the sun, my earphones or mp3 player will break afterward which is really disappointing. How do I avoid breaking my electronics while in meditation, or do I simply meditate without music.

This is quite a serious problem because I completely destroyed the chandelier in my room due to extremely intense meditations and I only use a lamp now, which pisses me off.
