Can I use multiple affirmations for a Mars square? Like discipline and self-confidence.

Heed Hs666's advice, but also know that Mars is not as related to self-discipline as Saturn, as discipline implies regulation. Mars gives pushing force, not necessarily restraining force.

Hello! Can I use a Mars square to enhance the masculine aspect of the soul?

Yes, definitely. Here is a post I made earlier about when Mars was in Leo, which can aid your understanding. In Scorpio, it will be different, but still certainly able to enhance masculinity.

For discipline, the Nauthiz rune is good to make you keep working and not give up.

For confidence, Sun energy is good. Or any of the runes that are related to Sun energy.

Mars gives pushing force, not necessarily restraining force.

That sounds exactly like what I need, right now.

I'd need some help formulating a square, if you wouldn't mind.

I just want to feel more empowered to "pursue life" and get things done.
An affirmation off the top of my head would be something like
"The energy of Mars is empowering me to advance materially, intellectually and spiritually."
"The energy of Mars is empowering me to pursue material, intellectual and spiritual advancement."

Is that good? What could the visualization be?
Surrounding myself in orange energy and trying to make myself feel "amped up?"
(just trying to guess)

Also please correct my understanding of the square formula if anything is wrong?
1. vibrate the rune or planetary mantra for the required amount on that day
2. speak or mentally recite the affirmation 3 or 9 times (preferably; affirmations take a lot of my mind power)
3. use the visualization

Thanks.

Also, Mars fits both of the above, but on a smaller scale. But, what Mars really represents and provides is 'explosiveness', or 'drive'. The planet of action, so to speak.

Mars, represented by Aries, gives explosive drive, more than any other energy type. However, this explosion can also be short-lasting, hence why HPS Maxine had remarked that Aries is notorious for starting projects and leaving them unfinished. However, this energy would be balanced by other yin elements of your soul.

Looking at the upcoming Mars Squares, you would notice that it is in Scorpio, not Aries. Although Mars energy will always have elements of explosion and aggression behind it, the sign would still influence the degree of this.

Therefore, in Scorpio, Mars takes on more Plutonian aspects: It is more focused on transformations, intensity, some aspects of sensitivity, and total possession or destruction. Here, it is less explosive and confrontation than Aries, but it has more sensitivity and elements of endurance.

This will be still be useful to you, but just be mindful of this and what you want, so you don't get confused as to the result.
If you are missing Mars in your life, then I would still do this, as well as the following Mars in Sag., as well as look into using the Thurisaz rune, which relates more directly to Aries.

------------------------

Yes, your affirmation would be fine, although I would suggest adding elements of permanence and also positivity. You want the energy (especially of the lesser malefic Mars) to be controlled into positive directions, so affirm that it works this way.

Furthermore, you may want to look into focusing the energy of Mars into a specific area. See here for ideas on how to apply Mars. By focusing more, you can get a stronger result. For example, instead of drive in all areas of life, you could focus just on spiritual work, which works well as Mars is in Scorpio itself.

However, this is up to you. Keep in mind your options: Mars Squares can be done twice if started early enough, due to them only taking 25 days each. Also remember that Mars in Sag. can be used for a drive to learn things, so this covers the mental sphere.

------------------------

For a visualization suggestion, imagine the energy of the Mars Square (orange or red) burning such a drive into you, in a positive way. This is how I generally view my workings, as if they have changed my soul's energy structure and left behind a glowing, positive "piece" of advancement relative to what I was trying to improve.

Yes, for the square you follow the formula (Use Bigot Boys app to help this). These are all planetary mantras, not runes.
For the affirmation, you can use the number 8, due to its relationship with power.

Thanks. I've taken all your advice and changed my affirmation to focus on one thing.

I don't understand what you mean by being able to do a square twice if started early enough.
If you could explain it thoroughly (like I'm 5) I'd appreciate that.

I do want to do another one for the drive to advance materially.
So as of now I believe I can wait until 11/14 after my current square is done and keep things simple.

Its 25 days, look at the JoS calender, you can make another one 3 days after finish the first one

Between Moon in Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces, which is most effective for drive to advance materially/financially?

If you are trying to create a drive for anything, this would be related to fire, as this creates action. Therefore, starting a working on the moon in Sag would be most related, out of these options you have written.

The second part of your goal, the material/financial focus, would benefit from signs like Taurus, Leo, and Sagittarius. Other signs are somewhat related to this as well, like Libras association with partners/contracts, Cancer's association with growth and nurturing, or Capricorn's association with structure.

Material wealth is most related to Taurus and the 2nd house, however the Sun and Jupiter provide the "fuel" and "power" which can be potentially be materialized into stable forms of wealth, and/or drive the wealth systems you have in place.
For example, a farm produces cheese, which is like a material form of wealth, but the Sun created the food/energy for the cows to make the milk in the first place.

-------------------

If you are asking about nearby moon dates, make sure you pay attention to the phase of the moon as well, as creation of something is usually best driven by a waxing moon, since this sets the stage for the nurturing of things, rather than the death or ending of things.

Hi Blitz,
You said something true and interesting:

For example, a farm produces cheese, which is like a material form of wealth, but the Sun created the food/energy for the cows to make the milk in the first place.

But why no mention of Venus -- which is the actual planet of the 2nd house and Taurus? Does not Venus trump the energies of Jupiter (beneficial expansion) and the Sun (life energy) in relation to material wealth?

I very rarely see any member mention working with Venus in relation to acquiring wealth and money.

Yes, Venus does trump the other two in regards to material wealth. Sorry if this was not clear from the above, because for someone to gain "Taurus energy", they would need to go through Venus, or similar runes like Othal.

You can also see the Lakshmi mantra, which incorporates aspects of Taurus, and I believe more, based upon Astarte's rulerships: https://www.ancient-forums.com/viewtopic.php?p=425291#p425291

Good day Blitz,
You were plenty clear in your post. I should have understood better.

In my long experience from vibrating the Lakshmi mantra, I think that this mantra is more of lunar and water-type energies rather than of a Venus. The only effects I've had from that mantra was feeling more emotionally sensitive but cool, nurturing, and understanding. Like water-based beauty. Maternal. I would recommend another working for wealth.

What are your thoughts?

I also believe Fehu is not a Jupiter rune but of Venus, considering its associations and attributes. I can see the overlaps though. When vibrating Venus, I would sometimes see flashes of light green.

I was going to post a bit more but re-reading your post helped me to understand things better. Thanks for that.

HS.

I'm a bit upset that that I probably messed up my square.
If you're going to use the counter app just make sure "make audible" is checked from the beginning. The app has issues with being the active window and responding to the spacebar key.
So sometimes you press spacebar and it doesn't register, and if this happens when you vibrated the mantra with closed eyes then this will be an issue.

Am I better off with a Venus material square to attract suitable (or ideal) employment?
Can that be done?

Can invoking fire for drive and earth for discipline substitute what I would have been trying to achieve with a Mars spiritual square? Which was spending more time on and having more interest in making money.

Take a pen, then take a piece of paper. For every four repetitions you make a "I" to indicate a repetiton. Every fifth repetition you cross a line over the four "I" you just made. Before you start you can make the required amount of markings on the paper and do the real repetitions somewhere close so that you know excactly what you are aiming for. Pretty foolproof method if you ask me.
