July - Dates for Magickal Workings & Squares

I've narrowed down the dates for starting workings based on the Moon signs and phases, in case anyone would like to start anything to better your life. You can do a 40-day working, with runes or mantras, or energy work. Workings and rituals done when the planets are in optimal positions will greatly enhance their success.

Always check the Void Moon for your location, this information can be found online or in phone apps. I did these for both Western hemisphere (USA, Canada, South America) and Eastern hemisphere (Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia).


Sunday 2: Before the 4-hour Void Moon, only for Eastern hemisphere: Waxing Moon in Libra. Love, social life, harmony, peace, legal matters. Venus in Taurus adds power for workings relating to love, peace, social life, beautiful home. After the Void, and for both hemispheres: Waxing Moon in Scorpio. Increasing sexuality, transformation, research, investigation, power, anything occult related.

Tuesday 4: Waxing Moon in Scorpio: Increasing sexuality, transformation, research, investigation, power, anything occult related. Moon goes void in evening/night for Western hemisphere.

Wednesday 5: Waxing Moon in Sagittarius. Healing.

Thursday 6: Waxing Moon in Sagittarius. Travel, education, good luck, gambling, law, athletics, outdoors. Jupiter is direct, Jupiter square can be done.

Saturday 8: Waxing (almost Full) Moon in Capricorn. Bindings.

Sunday 9: Full Moon in Capricorn. Honors, social standing, reputation, long-term plans and results, authority, structure.

Tuesday 11: Waning Moon in Aquarius. Breaking free from restrictions (day of Mars, rules action).

Wednesday/Thursday 12/13: Waning Moon in Pisces (after the Void on Wednesday). Psychic healing, healing from psychological damage.

Saturday 15: Waning (last quarter) Moon in Aries. Curses, destruction.

Sunday 23: New Moon in Leo, Sun at home in Leo. Good time to begin Sun square or any working to do with the Sun. Gambling, fun, increasing confidence, creativity, children, romance, authority, power over others, leadership.

Wednesday 26: Waning Moon in Virgo. Removing health issues. Mercury square can be done, Mercury in Virgo.

Friday 28: Waxing Moon conjunct Jupiter in Libra, social life, peace, harmony, love.

Sunday 30: Waxing (first quarter) Moon in Scorpio. Increasing sexuality, transformation, research, investigation, power, anything occult related.

Any Wednesday from July 26 to August 9. Mercury will then retrograde, and it is not advisable to begin a square while the planet is retrograde. Any square that has begun before the planet went retrograde will still work out.

I messed up here. I put moon as waning in Virgo, instead of waxing. Still good for increasing health etc

Quick question; should i do an affirmation with Magickal Squares?i'm planning on doing the sun one, and i don't have a one specific goal. I want all the effects it has (healing my spine, ambition, better earthly affairs and etc..) and i'm not sure if i should include an affirmation or not.

You should use an affirmation for all magickal workings. Energy that is left un-directed eventually dissipates and is wasted because it is not directed to do anything. Energy needs to be directed like a laser. You should focus on one goal for the sun square, such as increasing confidence or healing. Focusing on more than one goal weakens the working.

I figured so, but it didn't say anything about affirmations in the magickal squares site, so i thought to myself maybe, just maybe, these ones don't require an affirmation.
