I am happy to announce a series of powerful new features and improvements on JoS Projects! As we scale up, I had to implemented role-based restrictions. It's crucial that everyone involved in ANY project sends me a DM detailing their current tasks and responsibilities. This will help me assign specific roles and ensure everyone is working in their designated sections.
Additionally, I would like to request everyone's email so I can send group messages on Protonmail whenever something important happens on JoS Projects.
Here's what's new:
Sections are now restricted to specific people with specific roles:
Each section will now be managed by assigned individuals with specific roles. This means that upon registration, you will no longer have access to all features since we're scaling and moving towards a more professional setup. If you were working on a project within this platform, please DM me so I can assign your role accordingly (e.g., Editor, Translator, etc.).
Live chat system with instant messaging:
We can now communicate effortlessly without enduring long loading times or needing to refresh the page to see new messages.
Enhanced performance across the entire website:
Faster load times and a smoother experience as I've optimized the website for better performance.
Robust, scalable data management:
All data is now handled more efficiently, and the system has been designed to scale as our needs grow.
Support for translations in all languages, including PDF creation for sermons:
I've added comprehensive translation support and a new section for JoS website translations in all languages, including the ability to create and edit PDFs for sermons. Now, you can store a full JoS website translation on JoS Projects. People from your language can gather there, and everyone can team up to translate/proofread/edit everything. The information is organized in folders for easy access. This is especially good for new languages, but existing languages can also benefit from this section as some people do not like to use Webword and others do not have Webword access.
There is also a "PDF Creation" section for every single language, working exactly like the English version.
I will need to know who wants to translate and who will be the admins with access to the admin tools and responsibilities such as creating and uploading PDFs.
Task manager section:
On the homepage, you will find a Task Manager section where you can organize your tasks better. There is also a notepad next to it. These tools are private, and only you can see them.
Web design improvement:
I've fixed some old bugs, the website is now almost fully mobile responsive (there's still work to do), and I've improved the overall design.
Contact form for bug reports and suggestions:
You can now use the new contact form to report bugs and share your suggestions for the platform. I take everyone's feedback into consideration.
There is still a lot of work to do, and I am aware of most of the bugs that you will find, which shouldn't be many. These will be fixed soon. I also want to mention that new and exciting features are being worked on and will be released soon.
