Italy will have to compensate the families of victims of the third reich in Italy for 61 million euros.
Due to an agreement signed between the two countries in 1962, Berlin will not have to compensate the victims, the Italian state will take care of it with the resources contained in a special fund of 61 million euros in total until 2026, to be precise 20 million in 2023. 13.6 for each subsequent year [2024/25/26].
The fund was established by the Draghi government with law 36 of 30 April 2022.
Magistrate Miriam Iappelli had to decide on the sale of two properties seized from the German state located in Rome, for the compensation of two victims.
But before the judge could express himself this decree was made by the Draghi government, therefore Germany and the state attorney on behalf of the Italian council of ministers asked to declare the procedure extinct, by virtue of the new decree.
The constitutional court will have to decide.
It is also known how the mayor of Stazzema wrote to the ministry of the economy to ask for an increase in the fund.
Now I won't comment on the matter...
But I wanted some advice from you friends, one of my great-great-grandfathers was executed by priests [can you say priests or is that offensive?] at the time of Rome governed by the popes.
DO YOU THINK I WILL EVER BE ABLE TO ACCESS A COMPENSATION FUND FOR THIS?
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND EXCUSE THE SARCASM.
