Is third eye chanting enough or should I meditate upon third eye

Hi guys is it enough to chant THAUM into third eye or should I also meditate and focus upon it as well after chanting?

Because I read that the third eye opening exercise only gets it going or something, and that regular meditation upon thrid eye is neccassary.
But I have been only doing regular chanting on it.
So is it neccassary for me to meditate on it also to open it??

How? How do I use the third eye? If I close my eyes I just see blackness. What do I do? How to meditate on third eye? Just focus on the middle of the forehead?

When focusing it's best to leave out expectations like expecting to see anything. Clear the mind. It differs for everyone where some might see something first while others can have "symptoms" of an opened 3rd eye like higher intuition, picking up thoughts and other things related to the 3rd eye.
