I had to hard remove someone from my life as they were basically trying to destroy it. I learned that they are now trying to worm their way back in by "befriending" my friends.

Mars is still retrograde and I want to work a Gebo + Isa binding spell to force them to be unable to interact with me and my social circle. But is this considered black magick? I would hate for it to rebound and I be the one left behind.

I don't have experience in vibrating runes externally onto others and only internally on myself so I don't know if this is from my own incompetence or not, but while vibrating Isa I couldn't shake the cold feeling from myself no matter how hard I focused on the target (Isa always makes me feel like ice is forming on myself when I use it). I know some level of energy will rub off on one's self while vibrating on others but the feeling was quite strong so after a session I decided to back off for now. Sunny is right that using Gebo to damage their social efforts is considered black magic. If you used Isa in just a blocking manner, then this falls less under the realm of destruction of Mars and more of binding, pertaining to Saturn. Basically, your intentions are what matters here.

Also bear in mind that it will take more effort to spread your working over your entire social circle, rather than just preventing this person from getting to you. If there only purpose is to get to you, then just focus on yourself.

The root cause of this is their emotions towards you, so ideally you would remove any connections with them. If this is an emergency, you could try it now and judge the result. Mars retrograde does not mean every single act of destruction will backfire, just that it is more likely and not advised. Otherwise, use Isa to specifically block them from getting to you.

Yes Isa is a cold energy and it is normal to feel the energies of runes when working with them. It is important not to get fearful or anything just because the energy is heavier than something like Sowilo. You are still able to direct it properly. After the working, wait 10 minutes and see if you still feel the energy, but don't think about it before then.

You can always clean any residue off with Sowilo, which is the direct counter to Isa. The majority of energy has still hit the target; it is not still on you. Because you have the "antidote" to Isa, then there is nothing to be worried about. In fact, it is probably better to practice this now rather than have to learn during an emergency.

I think it would be a good idea for you to do the Returning Curses, and removing all connections between your soul and this person.

Ok, but that does not mean this would immediately rebound onto him. As SS we acknowledge the cycle of creation and destruction within the universe, but also recognize how we can advance into levels of existence that nullify negativity.

In other words, Coibius preventing this person from destroying his life through the correct application of magic is not going to have negative reaction.

The Gods help us to be self-sufficient, not immediately run to them for help on everything. I agree that they should consult the Gods, especially if they are unsure. Regardless, there is no reason to insult this person's intellect.

Not even sure where you were trying to go with this one. First, this statement does not apply to my predicament. There is no "opposite reaction" going on here if I use this in a more defensive manner or wait for Mars to not be retro. You make it seem like you believe in the bs wicca karma where one can't apply black magick without some unseen force punishing us for it. We know this to not be true here. It was a simple question of what binding spells fall under and everyone clarified it perfectly. My question is answered. Thank you to anyone who looks back on this topic that helped.

I suggest not trying to pick fights in something you clearly don't nor want to understand. I have done simple black magick before.
