Im confused about the name of Satan

I realize when you search the sigil of Satan on google that it reads Satans/lucifers sigil. My question is that " Is Satan and Lucifer one and the same or different people altogether. I noticed just googling this question you can become very confused from the answers you find because true Satanism is scarce if not at all on the web. I need to know this also because ive been referring to Satan as Lucifer, but somethings telling me they are not the same. I then googled who it is the jews worshipped and it read Lucifer. Can someone clear up my confusion?

In regards to Satan's name... If you go to the website and read the "Satan" page Satan   (that shows His Sigils), you can also (scroll down) read where it says "Origins of the Name of Satan": Name of Satan

Okay... the jews do not and did not worship Lucifer. Lucifer and Satan are one and the same being.
The jews worship jehova... Not Lucifer. Read the Joy of Satan website. Maxine explains very thoroughly
the names of Father Satan. HE is known by many names, including Shiva, Prometheus, etc. Satan
means truth in Sanskrit.

You are right, but as HP Jake Carlson has pointed out, it is best to use the term "Satan-Lucifer" when addressing Satan as Lucifer, to avoid tying into any enemy energies.
