I know this is going to be of little priority, giving the state of everything, but and idea came to me in our Sacred temple, Blessed be JG Alexandros Iowno 𓃶 𓃶 for having made it and the clergy of our people for supporting it, that we could have a food section.

With the coming storm of issues that will soon be set on the world I figured I'd toss the idea out so that we can all share with each other recipes and such that are both healthy and maybe cheap. We can go into techniques and stuff used so that we can spread the foods of our people as well as show others how to help themselves. After all everyone belongs in the kitchen :) that's where the food is.

I saw we already have a health section but I believe this would be separate from it so that it can also allow the health section to be strictly for health and things discussed there for health purposes rather than fun, which is what I believe this section would be for. Also sharing personal twists on things and also giving the upcoming Yule is upon us we could also share the lovely treats we make in honor of Our AMAZING Gods. ( Looking to all you bakers out there :3 cause this so isn't just a way for me to get new yummy treats hehe :p )

Just an idea I wanted to share: my love of food is great and so I thought I'd channel that passion into asking.

Bless you all under the guiding light of our peoples warmth under our Great Gods watchful loving gaze.

I also think this would be a great initiative. I am going to sound like "captain obvious" slightly, but oh well... Food is very important and takes a huge amount of our lives. Without food, we would be unable to have functioning bodies. Thus it is reasonable to expect the enemy attacking our food and water sources to make us dumber, weaker. And which it does. As Spiritual Satanists, we can try restoring the knowledge that was destroyed about making quality food.

RIGHT?! I just imagine someone showing us how to handcraft a fresh healthy pizza or showing people how to fry food properly. Different kinds food that do things that aid you. Magnesium is super important as if Vitamin D: and I don't want to distract how important our current health section is but I feel that is more aimed to getting back into health rather than staying in good health/having fun!

Like we could time making food together (with in reason) or bake even just cookies together! My family adores coffee frosting and anyone who's had it loves it. Nothing special mind you just powered sugar with the right amount of coffee mixture and some optional spices but still, its the little things <3

The way you knead your dough, you make your eggs just right. How hard ( or not at all ) you mix together your dressing and veggies. Maybe the mixture of ground meats.

It really disgusts me the idea "oh this is a family secret" when I stand there not just human but even of the same race and all I can think is "wow... how little you know and care it would seem." Food is an expression of love and life. It is taking what is in nature and in a sense using 'alchemy' to make it more than what it once was. Sure a potato is a root bulb but with love and care it can be turned into something that makes someone smile. From babes to the infirm and all in between you can make anyone truly happy with a properly cooked meal made with the kindness of love and deepest of passions.

There is also loose leaf tea mixes as well that can be included or maybe coffee mixes, brands we love, ways we caramelize our sauces and cheeses! The possibilities are endless as is the ways to show love <3

This would be a great addition to the forums!

Seconded, a physical health related forum section would be neat.
That being said, considering this is basically medical advice, posts would need to be carefully monitored, even more than usual, so people don't post bullshit and get others in trouble, which is even more work that needs to be done.

If we don't make a forum for this, it can be a thread, and members who participate by posting in it can add it to their signature to promote it.

There are a lot of people who don't even know the basics, so this could be very helpful :)

I love cooking. I have many recipes to share.

Brother I make magnificent organic pizza

Serpentwalkers Hearty Steak Meal:

1. Take a package of freshly cut rib eye steaks, and after opening repeatedly jab the steaks on either side, then season with salt and pepper and rub into the meat.

2. Take the steaks and lay on a foil pan, get some good quality butter and cut small slices to place along the center of the steaks, then get dried rosemary and parsley and sprinkle this onto each cut of meat.

3. From there, take a pinch of garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper and sprinkle this on. Remember to cover each side thoroughly.

4. Take some lemon and lime juice and sparingly spray this onto each cut of meat. Then afterwards, take small amounts of thyme and add this last.

5. Bake at 420 degrees Fahrenheit until it is medium rare to well done. ( 375 or 400 is fine, whatever you prefer, it would just take longer )

Baked Potato Side:

1. Take some fresh russet potatoes and wash them thoroughly. From there you can cut with the sharp edge of a knife about an inch or two into each potato in a few places towards the center and along the edges. Four to five cuts is sufficient.

2. From there just brush some olive oil onto the potatoes and season with sea salt only. Wrap them in foil and bake them until they are very soft and tender.

3. Enjoy the heavily seasoned steak, with the hearty potatoes.

Menemen

This is a dish that Turks prefer for breakfast. You may know this.

1 - Put the oil, finely chopped peppers and onion in a pan and fry until the color turns red. Since the onions are a little late, you may want to throw them in first.
2 - Add the peeled and diced tomatoes.
3- Cover the pan over medium heat and wait for the tomatoes to cook well.
4- Now you should add the egg, but I recommend separating the yolk and the white of the egg and then adding the white first for a thicker consistency.
5- Add salt and spices of your choice and wait until the eggs are cooked.

Serve the menemen hot.
Eat it with bread.

Enjoy your meal.

That sounds like shakshuka.

Do Turkish really make ice cream from chicken meat?

This is my favorite cooking channel.

Shakshuka is made of vegetables. But it's similar to the way these dishes are made.

Brother, no, that's bad. I haven't heard that anywhere.

In my neighborhood they make a very good ice cream from carob, I prefer this. Everything from the milk to the fruit was organic and self-prepared.
