Damien Blackheart you sent a post about Dissection and other black metal bands. I must say God of Forbidden Light by Dissection[/B] is just fantastic. I love the way this sounds.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=023iiLUR ... re=related  That being said I don't usually get that much into black metal music all that much, there is a reason for this. I need to feel the music in myself, and for it to make me feel good and not all sound the same. I especially need the lyrics to be correct and heart felt like this song is. So, that being said are there any more bands like this out there, where I can hear the words and know what is being said, the lyrics are the most importand part to me. ??

Half of that black metal shit I cant even understand, I dont see the point of it most of the time. Just a bunch of low and high pitched screaching like cradle of filth. Then again, there are some that the words seem to find me rather me finding the words and then all of the sudden the song makes sense

Black Metal is always about the lyrics and atmosphere of the music. You just need to know where to look, and gain the ear for it. I used to think the same, that it was all just screaming, but it isn't. It aims to NEVER be pleasing to the media, and thus they are allowed to say as they please without any controversy. If you actually listened to it, you'd see there is a lot of beauty. Armagedda's Helvestoner, Nargaroth's Seven Tears Are Flowing, Behexen's Watchers Of My Black Temple, Satanic Warmaster's accoustic version of The Burning Eyes Of The Werewolf, (and other things by Satanic Warmaster, they're very melodic and beautiful, in my opinion. Like, the songs off of the album Carelian Satanist Madness) and pretty much any SDBM. Also, Dissection are Luciferic, not Satanic. The difference is, is that Luciferians are often Atheistic, and most follow lies on the side of The Right Hand Path thinking it is correct in the left hand path, but we Satanists have the truth that destroys Luciferic practice. (I should know, I used to be a Luciferian.) I just had to say that.

I didn't know that about Dessection. Still, I love their music anyway.
When I hear the song God of Forbidden Light, it does seem like they're
singing to Satan/Lucifer, but that's just my opinion. I know next to
nothing about luciferianism, though. I've never heard of SDBM...where
are they from? Hail Father Satan!

"Black Metal is always about the lyrics and atmosphere of the music"

Not even the lyrics are pleasing, most have to do with the xian idea of Satan and are about bs like darkness, gore, sacrifices. We do know Satan is the bringer of light and their description is false. I don't know what other people feel, but being a Satanist has made me feel happy, changed my life for the better and gave me courage, so I do feel the lyrics are the opposite of Satanism. I really wish there was some kind of Satanic music that praises Satan in a positive way, as He deserves to be!!

Sweden, and the song is directed towards Lucifer, but in the Luciferic aspect. You know, that he fell, but there is no actual god because it's just symbolism. Like the tale of Ahriman and Zurvan in Zoroastrian religion, where Zurvan, "the god creator" copulated with his creation, giving birth to twins, promising superiority to the one who came out of the womb first, but Ahriman, being Lucifer, was beauty, liberty, knowledge, purity, strength, and all that, obviously tore through the mother's stomach. However, Zurvan favored Ahriman's brother more, and denied Ahriman further greatness, but Ahriman then overthrew him after it is revealed that Zurvan's intention for humanity was nothing more but to lead them as slaves, whereas Ahriman saw the potential godhood in all of them, (the chakras) and gave to them all he was, within each of them.

Anyway, sorry to rant off topic, but I know a little bit about this topic.

It's okay, I find it interesting. Of course as Spiritual
Satanists we know the truth, but it's interesting to see
how the other half lives, as it were.

There are some bands that I listen to, but they are NOT black metal.
You might like them, but the songs are more towards Father as a Fallen Angel

One of them is an EBM (Electronic Body Music)/ Electronic group from Sweden:

Pride and Fall- Essence of Angels, the Perfect Circle

VNV Nation- Dark Angel http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpQr6IS8OUE
(listen to the lyrics... they are very powerful.)

Hail Satan! Hail the Gods of Old!

They are generally about balance, which every Spiritual Satanist should be fully aware of. You know, can't have undying, perfect love without furious hatred and scorn. Black Metal isn't JUST about Satan, but it is inspired by many Satanic movements. Some of these movements are LeVeyan, Orthodox, and sometimes even Spiritual or Theistic, but still there are Atheists and various other right hand theists creating Black Metal, but I'm not entirely sure why. The blackness they embrace is embraced because as a Spiritual Satanist, I become aware that he who sits in the dark will begin creating light, turning all the darkness inside out and then begin to shine brighter than the sun itself, becoming more in the essence and majesty of Father. They embrace intellectualism and raw emotion, on both sides. Black Metal often times can be pretentious about their beliefs of Satanism, as most are misled, but sometimes, you can find bands that actually are with the current of Spiritual Satanism. You just have to know where to look, I guess.

I know Satanism is about Balance. What I'm saying, is when a SONG refers to SATAN, it should do it in a positive way. What gets me here isn't the emotions generated by this kind of music, but the fact most refer to Satan in a negative way and many people dub it "Satanic music". I honestly think if there was such thing as "Satanic Music" it would be positive and meditative. Since the Satanic writings and messages here are positive, and the meditations by Satan are beautiful, so should it be His music. I've not seen any "Satanic Music" which is positive or has positive lyrics. See my point?

Someone mentioned the Devil's Trill by Tartini, which is inspired by Satan actually. That's the kind of music i would consider "Satanic music".

Damien Blackheart you sent a post about Dissection and other black metal bands. I must say God of Forbidden Light by Dissection is just fantastic. I love the way this sounds.

That being said I don't usually get that much into black metal music all that much, there is a reason for this. I need to feel the music in myself, and for it to make me feel good and not all sound the same. I especially need the lyrics to be correct and heart felt like this song is. So, that being said are there any more bands like this out there, where I can hear the words and know what is being said, the lyrics are the most importand part to me. ??

"They are generally about balance"

Actually no, they are not about balance since they only focus on the negative side. I've yet to see some song talk about "undying, perfect love". If you're gonna claim you're about balance then also focus on the positive side as well as the negative one. Also, those songs talk about hatred as if its referred to everyone. Of course not, this is wrong, we don't hate everybody, but only our enemies. If they wanna talk about hatred, it should be directed to xians.

Another example, they talk about darkness but yet no song says things like "Satan filled my soul with light" (which is true, and that's what He did to me and my experiences with meditation).

To see that is the opposite of Satanism, first read the Al-Jilwah or the Quret Al-Yezid. Then look at the lyrics of some random black metal song. You'll see they are the opposite.

We do know Satan is the bringer of light and their description is false. I don't know what other people feel, but being a Satanist has made me feel happy, changed my life for the better and gave me courage, so I do feel the lyrics are the opposite of Satanism. This is info for one of the bands you recommended. I sincerely hope you don't believe, looking at their lyrical themes, that it is about balance...If it was Satanic it would say "hatred for xianity" or "anti-xianity" because we don't hate everyone. Plus, misanthropy is the opposite of Satanism, Satan loves humanity because it is His creation:

"True Satanism is about elevating and empowering humanity, which was our True Creator (Satan's) intention. "

I love how everyone shot me down then acted like I needed to know what Satanism is, like I don't know.

And, do you think they don't actually direct Misanthropy towards Christianity? Misanthropy, the hatred for mankind as a whole, why? Because modern humans are parasites, maybe? I don't know, I can think of a lot of reasons to hate the fucking masses and only think highly of those who deserve it. And, it should be obvious that Black Metal musicians don't purely just listen to Black Metal. You'll find a lot of bands that don't even have hate in their lyrics. Why I said it was balance, is because other music and the modern culture disregard sexuality, hatred, and various other things they deem as sin. Black Metal is the redemption to those themes, the putting them back into practice.

It's not that I don't understand Satanism, it's just that you don't understand where the themes of Black Metal are coming from. Maybe if you actually read the lyrics of their music, and you know, broke them down and metaphorically analyzed what they were really saying, you'd probably understand. I have never heard a Black Metal song with misanthropy in their themes that just says, "OH MY FUCKIN' SATAN, I FUCKING HATE HUMANITY, THOSE PORCINE, OH FUCK THEM, I R SO SATANIST BECAUSE I HATE HUMANITY". No, I see the lyrics as hatred towards the mob, a rejection of their belief systems and idiotic fallacies.

And, Gorgoroth has a song called When Love Rages Wild In My Heart. And, a lot of bands that I listen to praise Satan in that little "positive" way you all want, just listen to My Soul For His Glory by Behexen. Or maybe According To Him by Craft. If you actually listen and look at that song, you'll get a good idea of their beliefs and how they operate. It's a lot like that "act of rebellion on the sea of motion" that Nergal from Behemoth was on about. And, if you still don't think it's that "positively" Satanic, then listen to Gorgoroth when Infernus wrote the lyrics/did most of the work for the band. Open The Gates, Satan-Prometheus, and etc. Seriously, this guy just purely writes his ideals/beliefs about Satanism. Like, in Rebirth, he declines all that a fellow band member made Gorgoroth out to be, this LaVeyan shit, and the song says... "Just Satanic... DREAMS!"

Satan-Prometheus by Gorgoroth says... "See the horns ascend... Crushing the face of god... See the horns rise... The eternal reign of... SATAN!!!"

Holy Poison by Funeral Mist is another good song. "Shine through me, Satan. Yes live now through this tool of yours. Live through me, o seditious star, and like a thousand suns shalt I spread thine light!" What about Glorior Belli? The song Said Lucifer In Twilight is great. "Drink what you may, sleep
if you will, inhale the poison, swallow your pills.
The god of the empty, the seed of your pain.
The toxin I spread lies still in your brains".

But, wait, that's controversial... I didn't think Satanists gave into such controversy, so I'll explain what it says. Basically, it says, do what you wilt, and even though the god of the empty may be in your life as the blossomer of your pain, my words still are imprinted deeply in you.

And, Altered Verses by Glorior Belli seems to be exploiting how Christianity stole the ancient texts and blasphemed them. "Psalms of terror, the altered verses of the holy.
Evil things, in robes of sorrow,
Assailed the human's high estate."
And, it also seems to be about being with Satan and letting yourself free.
"See the horns,
shake from your burden
each hindering thing.
Manifesting the raging beast."

Am I done, yet?

Hate to double post, but it seems that I have to. The question came up, about darkness, which is something I've understood for a very long time. Like in the Gorgoroth song, "The Sign Of An Open Eye", which is great despite the fact I never liked the way the band took during that movement, but... It says...

"There is a god in man, and in nature. He who sits in the dark, the bringer of light. This beauty, the sign of an open eye".

I honestly shouldn't have to bring this up, but that line states what it states for when it always says about darkness. Enlil even said, "darkness is just light turned inside out", and for most of us, it was those who sat in the metaphorical darkness who became intelligent. So, this is symbolism for the dilation of the eye as you sit in the darkness, the expansion of the pupil so you can see absolutely everything, rather than just stare at the false white light of Christianity and blind yourself. It also stands for symbolism, as a Satanist should naturally realize that as they sit in the dark, they can create their own light from such, and not need the help of another being doing so.

It's called metaphors. This actually saddens me, that I have to go through this because I never thought a Satanist would base themselves upon assumption with very little thought, instead of openness and a lot of abysmal thought.

Also, if you're wondering about the use of "evil". Well, what is evil for a second? What is righteousness? Righteousness is apparently rape, murder, genocide, and prejudice. So, if that's righteousness in the Xian/Abrahamic texts, then what is Evil? The breaking away from that, the symbol fall before the metaphorical twilight, the ascension of self upwards after shaking the bullshit of modern humanity off, spreading your wings, and taking to the skies...

Even before I was a Satanist, I loved to listen to the song "Thank You Satan" by Wednesday 13. If none of you have ever heard that song, it's like a Spiritual Satanist's anthem. =).

It's okay, I find it interesting. Of course as Spiritual
Satanists we know the truth, but it's interesting to see
how the other half lives, as it were.

Sweden, and the song is directed towards Lucifer, but in the Luciferic
aspect. You know, that he fell, but there is no actual god because it's just
symbolism. Like the tale of Ahriman and Zurvan in Zoroastrian religion,
where Zurvan, "the god creator" copulated with his creation, giving birth to
twins, promising superiority to the one who came out of the womb first, but
Ahriman, being Lucifer, was beauty, liberty, knowledge, purity, strength,
and all that, obviously tore through the mother's stomach. However, Zurvan
favored Ahriman's brother more, and denied Ahriman further greatness, but
Ahriman then overthrew him after it is revealed that Zurvan's intention for
humanity was nothing more but to lead them as slaves, whereas Ahriman saw
the potential godhood in all of them, (the chakras) and gave to them all he
was, within each of them.

Anyway, sorry to rant off topic, but I know a little bit about this topic.

Black Metal is always about the lyrics and atmosphere of the music. You
just
need to know where to look, and gain the ear for it. I used to think the
same, that it was all just screaming, but it isn't. It aims to NEVER be
pleasing to the media, and thus they are allowed to say as they please
without any controversy. If you actually listened to it, you'd see there
is
a lot of beauty. Armagedda's Helvestoner, Nargaroth's Seven Tears Are
Flowing, Behexen's Watchers Of My Black Temple, Satanic Warmaster's
accoustic version of The Burning Eyes Of The Werewolf, (and other things
by
Satanic Warmaster, they're very melodic and beautiful, in my opinion.
Like,
the songs off of the album Carelian Satanist Madness) and pretty much
any
SDBM. Also, Dissection are Luciferic, not Satanic. The difference is, is
that Luciferians are often Atheistic, and most follow lies on the side
of
The Right Hand Path thinking it is correct in the left hand path, but we
Satanists have the truth that destroys Luciferic practice. (I should
know, I
used to be a Luciferian.) I just had to say that.

Half of that black metal shit I cant even understand, I dont see the
point
of it most of the time. Just a bunch of low and high pitched screaching
like cradle of filth. Then again, there are some that the words seem to
find me rather me finding the words and then all of the sudden the song
makes sense

Â
Damien Blackheart you sent a post about Dissection and other black
metal
bands. I must say God of Forbidden Light by Dissection is just
fantastic.
I love the way this sounds.

That being said I don't usually get that much into black metal music
all
that much, there is a reason for this. I need to feel the music in
myself,
and for it to make me feel good and not all sound the same. I
especially
need the lyrics to be correct and heart felt like this song is. So,
that
being said are there any more bands like this out there, where I can
hear
the words and know what is being said, the lyrics are the most
importand
part to me. ??
