I can't breath when Lucid/Astral

Although it's kind of rare, when I focus on my Chakras before sleep (Crown-Root), I can find myself aware in my dreams or on in the Astral plane.

When this happens, I can't see or breath and then I force myself awake and this is really putting a dent in my spiritual growth.

I've been attacked by enemy entities over the years in these states and have felt my soul get weaker over time, drained if you will and I'm sure it has to do with it since I used to be able to see and breath just fine.

I do smoke though, that could have to do with my breathing in these states but I'm not sure since it doesn't explain the blindness. I will try cut back regardless though for obvious health reasons.

Also when I try to talk in these states, my voice is muffled, that's when I can see that my soul has weakened greatly.

I'll continue to work on my chakras, aura cleansing and the likes but I'm just wondering if anybody else has dealt with this or something simular?

Might be slow to reply but appreciate advice or your inputs nonetheless, cheers.

Haha, interesting that you've had the same experience.

Last when I was aware of it, I tried to open my eyes in the dream but my eye balls where rolled back in my head and I couldn't seem to change it.

My voice is very low and muffled too but that's kind of hard to explain.. like my voice is turned down like a volume control panel?

I can't actually astral project, if I find myself there it is because I'm being attacked by an enemy entity in which I'm fully aware just like I am now which is unlike dreams.

I'm thinking that it could be something subconsciously due to fear of being attacked or just general fatigue, so I always have them closed when it's happening, if that makes sense?

I used to try and fight back at times but find myself weaker now than before.. my plan is to just void meditate when it happens next and when I'm aware enough, even if I'm in pain in the dream/astral state, just let it pass like any sort of nightmare? I'm not sure how effective that would be in the Astral though. Thanks for replying!

Fear/subconscious fear it s pretty troublesome in this area.

Is not a good idea to practice lucid dreaming or astral projection if you dont have a good control over your mind and emotions. But of course i don t have either  but i have some barbarian tendency

For exemple,i ve had many experience in which apparentlly i was locked in my room but i didn t panic,i used my head and my fist to open my way :D
Another example,i was sleeping in my bed when i suddenly became lucid in my body,i knew it wasn t reality, and 3 m in front of me next to the wall a tall black entety stood there and staring at me,this created in me a combination of emotions similar to those created by a house burglar,so i jumped to beat him,but i woke up

But now i m making efforts to deal with my experiences in a more dignified and elegance way :)

You might have sleep apnea from smoking. However this state you acquire can have effects such as this and also this is a part that is to be experienced in the future.

From what I gather you simply acquire the electrical bolt from the trance, from which your body is not adapted yet and freezes in a present "moment". In this way others experience paralysis. Others more accommodated open their pineal and have themselves flood with extreme light etc.

The breathing techniques are built on the same procedure, of inhaling - retention- exhalation. In the retention, it is the suspended moment where the energy amplifies and associates fully.

In the same, way your trance meditation and focus reaches a point of " suspension " where you become immersed in the specific chakra, state of being or opening. When this happens your breath becomes suspended. In a realistic way, you should be extremely deep in trance and also prolific in your focus, to actually sustain safely and merge this attain by this "suspension".

When the above happens, return your focus on your body calmly, or/and induce relaxation, detach and resume breathing naturally. Do not force as in meditation, forcing is not good.

You can attain this suspension in your meditation and resume breathing smoothly, while still advancing the meditation. In time you'll observe, meditation with meditation, that light will appear and other senses will emerge, from vibrations, noises of the chakras to full immersion in visions or other very high spiritual states.

The above has to happen naturally, not induced or any kind, but by practice and natural flowering.

I've read many stories about these shadowly beings in lucid dreams and on the astral. I think a lot of them do represent your own emotions/subconsciousness deep within, although I could be wrong. It's good that you take no shit when it comes to these but maybe easing back a little, you can learn a thing or two about why they are there.

As for practicing lucid dreaming, I'd love to get to the root of why I'm always blind or have blurry vision. It's difficult to defend yourself or deal with nightmares when you can't see at all :|

Just to clarify, It's not during meditations or trances but I will wake up in a dream/nightmare and then be completely blind.

As I start to gain consciousness I sometimes feel as though I can't breath then panic and wake up. This is usually companied with a being attacking me that feels Gray/alien in nature, although it can happen in a normal lucid dream too and I can't see then either. I say Astral also because sometimes it can feel as real as now.

Returning my focus on my body calmly and inducing relaxation while detaching from focusing on breathing is a good idea, I will try this next time it happens (if I remember to in the state) and if I'm not being attacked.

I miss being able to "see" what is going on when lucid or even when being attacked, now I just use my mind to get a sense of my surroundings as it happens, as opposed to actually seeing like I used to.

Thanks for the replies all.
