New people are not held to the same standard as long-time members, especially when it is clear they are still learning. Like VoE said, you can expect these sorts of strange ideas to eventually disappear over time.

In the case of OWP, he was continually reintroducing strange New Age ideas, as well as avoiding spiritual solutions. He likely made up his "parasite attack" story to throw a wrench into our abilities to easily help him, as well.

Another thing to notice is how people respond to new information, especially when they been taught a certain way.

There is cognitive dissonance, there is asking questions and trying to get an understanding, or just ignore that and introduce all sorts of delusions and corrupted garbage from outside who claim any sort of "metaphysics". One Wire Phenomenon is an example of someone who would come up with pseudoscience to explain deluded ideas that are not healthy nor useful.

Knowledge comes and goes, but what stands the test of time is what can be applied in the present no matter how much time passes, whether a million years ago, or a million years later. It can still be applied now, and be useful now. The wisdom of Egypt was designed this way, and timeless and flawless to this day. One Wire's way of seeing things is like change of clothes, and not actually having anything that can be useful for body mind or soul. Nor does he practices it either.
