I was doing void meditation (though I never got the hang of it) and a bit of flame meditation. And I think I have been doing too many breaths. I have been doing like 8-9. I will take a break after I sooth my soul. But I'm still on the middle of chakra meditation, my friend accidently skipped a day on her third eye and looked like she was gonna throw up all the time the next day. Would this happen to me?
Thanks for your help!
It shouldn't happen to you. Though if a drop in energies is too abrupt, it may have adverse affects, which is why I advised to soothe your soul first.
Keep doing the foundation meditation from the Joy of Satan beginner meditations page, just take a break from working on your chakra's.
I'd also suggest you avoid doing Flame meditation for now, until you get the hang of regular void meditation. Keep practicing it every day for 15 or so minutes, and you can get the hang of it with time and persistence.
Flame meditation can be more intense, due to the elemental fire from the candle. If you are breathing in while focusing intently on the candle, it is likely you are accidentally breathing in fire elemental energy, which your soul cannot handle at all.
To do flame meditation, one only focuses on the flame, to focus the mind, not to draw in breath while doing so, unless one is specifically trying to work with fire elemental energy, which is very advanced and would burn you literally if done wrong.
As for the number of breaths when doing energy breathing(Pranayama techniques), since you are very new, start with fewer breaths, 3-5, and focus more on the feeling of the energy, feeling it flow through your body and Nadi's, etc. The feeling is emphasized on the meditation page for the foundation meditation as well. It is the most important point, especially for a new meditator.

Good luck and be careful with your practice. Be aware of your limits and build up piece by piece.
