Hermann Göring was born on January 12, 1893 in the Marienbad Sanatorium in Rosenheim , Bavaria.
Göring was interested in a military career from a very early age and enjoyed playing with toy soldiers and wearing the Boer uniform his father had given him.
In 1912 Göring joined the Prince Wilhelm Regiment (112th Infantry, Garrison: Mülhausen) of the Prussian Army.
After completing the pilot training course, Göring was assigned to Jagdstaffel 5.
Hermann Göring shot down 22 enemy aircraft during the war and was awarded the Medal of Honor 1st Class (Pour le Mérite). The war was lost, but Hermann Göring was a war hero in the eyes of the people. He left the army in 1919 with the rank of Captain.
In the first year of the First World War, Göring served with his infantry regiment in the area of Mülhausen, a garrison town less than 2 km from the French border.
In the Second World War,
Göring and other senior officers were concerned that Germany was not yet ready for war, but Hitler insisted on moving forward as soon as possible. On August 30, 1939, just before the outbreak of the Second World War, Hitler appointed Göring to head a new six-man cabinet. This cabinet was set up to function as a war cabinet.
Hitler promoted Göring to the rank of German: Reichsmarschall des Grossdeutschen Reiches. Marshals in the army, including the Luftwaffe. As a result of this promotion, he became the highest-ranking soldier in Germany until the end of the war.
Hitler appointed Göring as his successor as Führer of all Germany, with Hess as a second alternative "in case something happened to me". Great German victories followed one after another. With the help of the Luftwaffe, the Polish Air Force was defeated within a week.
• ''Hitler had the willpower of a demon and he needed it. If he didn't have such a strong willpower he couldn't have achieved anything. Don't forget, if Hitler had not lost the war, if he did not have to fight against the combination of big powers like England, America, and Russia each one he could have conquered individually these defendants and these generals would now be saying, 'Heil Hitler,' and would not be so damn critical.''
When the Second World War began, the Luftwaffe was the most effective and powerful air force in the world. This was only because Hermann Göring was a former pilot and intimately familiar with the challenges of both piloting and the air force.
After the Fall of France, Hitler awarded Göring the Order of the Grand Iron Cross for his successful leadership
I believe that Hermann Göring's great experience and knowledge was the main reason why the air force played such an effective role in the war.
Training for an army career, Göring was commissioned in 1912 and served with distinction during the First World War,
Göring's position as Hitler's most loyal supporter remained unassailable for the rest of the decade.
Although Göring was probably sincere in his desire to prevent or postpone war - as his failed negotiations with the Swedish industrialist Birger Dahlerus in 1939 showed - it was the Luftwaffe that helped carry out the blitzkrieg that shattered Polish resistance and weakened one country after another as Hitler's campaign progressed.
Hermann Göring was caught even though he was innocent. He committed suicide by drinking cyanide.
He will always be known as a hero for what he did.
