I recently came across an obscure religion through a person I vaguely know, about the Sun and Moon.

The issue I'm having is that he isn't telling me what it's called.

What I do know is that has 7 guardians, 2 of which are Unity and Severence. It has something to do with Salt, Storm, and Stone. The guardians showed up after Humanity was created, And I can't trust him much at all because he believes in fantastical things like every day objects gaining souls, a language that when written bursts into flame, and other things.

Does anyone know what this could be if he's not making it up?

Hello, I googled "Sand, Storm and Stone" and the results that come up are mostly related to videogames created Failbetter Games that take place in the Sunless Sea universe. Are you sure he's talking about a religion and not a videogame?

In the Sunless Sea universe, the stars are Judgment, or gods. They are gods who oversee the laws of the universe, higher than half-judgements such as Salt, Storm, and Stone.

By the way, get into the habit of googling things, you may discover the answer by yourself.

It's a fantasy. Perhaps he engages in escapism and just enjoys making these things up based on elements from books, movies and games.

I wouldn't be surprised. He also claims to have been part of a global security company after he left the military, and have hunted down cults of "satanists" performing blood sacrifice.

On top of other fantastical stories, like encountering a Wendigo/Rake.

I was only curious about his "religion" though, since I couldn't find anything about it other than the references to a videogame.

He is clearly delusional and seems to think he is living in some sort of "buffy the vampire slayer" world. Delusions of grandeur like this can come from feelings of lack of real accomplishments and insecurity. I would keep him at arms length and not listen to all that nonsense.

Not to be rude, but this shouldn't be relevant to us. People can believe all sorts of nonsense that holds little or no spiritual merit.

This shit sounds straight out of a movie

The person you are describing is a nutcase. These types are everywhere unfortunately.

I have a friend who told me he would nod out in his hot tub and merge with the water and become one and astral projected to become one with all the water in the universe, his wife would find him unconscious in the hot tub.

He would also tell me when he would smoke cannabis at night in his car it would cloak and turn invisible and no one could find him.

We still talk occasionally to this day, but hes pretty nuts and you have to learn to filter out from these kind of people when they aren't making sense.

After some experience you can learn to read people and distinguish fact from mental illness with all of this.
