Luciferianism, Satanism, Left Hand Path, Qlipphotic Work (ew), and many other titles have been attributed to groups working with Satan's Demons.
They often find ideas that align with the Spiritual Satanist path, but also may have many mistakes.
Nonetheless, being Satanist-aligned groups that aren't atheist, some of them may be able to learn to converse with Satan's Demons. Which can only lead to good, within the limits of what knowledge you already have, as, if you're deluded, ocasionally evoking a Demon won't fix those belief systems.
From what I've found, the JoS has the most rigorous approach to research, historical accuracy, scientific accuracy and the like. This, as well as its ties to ancient culture, as well as the many people who have achieved amazing things in this faith, including but not limited to the High Priests, makes the JoS the most accurate source of information for your Satanic practice.
Those other practices existing is a net positive, as they generally are practices that will keep you away from the enemy (as long as you don't engage in jewish mysticism), normalize Satanism for the mass population and eventually may bring people to the right faith.
That being said, being Luciferian is ABSOLUTELY not the worst place to start from on your path of Spiritual Satanism. Some new members here have been deluded by xtianity in the past. Some have been hardwired muslims since birth. The fact that you may have been exposed to some wrong doctrines pales in comparison to those who have been plagued by the enemy before finding this place.
And, since you may probably be wondering, while Lucifer is not as perfect of a name for Satan as Satan, He certainly is fine with this name, especially if you are early within your practice. It is a beautiful and accurate title for Him.
