If you look on the elder furthark page in JOS it will also tell you which rune goes best with which stone. I combined these with their respective crystals to let the energy amplify during workings and rituals. I did this for Satan's ritual as well.

I also think it is very good to meditate with the crystal that is connected to your chart ruler, especially for a planetary square. Using any crystal connected to their respective planets and chakras will help with the energy of the square imo.

There are also certain crystals like the runes who have either more masculine or more feminine energy. Sometimes there is a grey area with this. each crystal is also tied to a sign in the zodiac and an element.

For example Moonstone and labradorite both fall under feldspar. I felt my guardian telling me that Labradorite was the dark side of the moon where as moonstone was the light side. to me personally, Labradorite also felt more masculine in its energy than moonstone however, it has feminine qualities. Masculine stones often go with masculine runes, and feminine stones with feminine runes, most of the time at least.

Moonstone is very good for balancing inhibited positive lunar qualities in someone, especially if it is their chart ruler or a prominant planet for them in general. Labradorite is good for intuition, the unconscious side of the mind the moon rules over especially emotions, dreams and intuition. Both are good for the third eye and 6th chakra. Labradorite might also be good with black magickal workings related to the moon.

Some others: Selenite, amethyst, lapiz laluzi, and also labradorite and moonstone can help with the astral senses and the higher chakras, as well as sodalite the first 2 with the crown chakra, and the others with the third eye and 6th chakras. apatite and kyanite are also good for these.

Apatite, and again lapiz (because it is a stone of communication also), aquamarine, azurite (also for the 3rd eye), blue tigers eye and chalcedony are also good for workings connected to mercury and the throat chakra.

emerald, green beryl, rose quartz, jade and pink chalcedony go well with workings tied to venus, the gebo rune and the heart chakra.

sunstone, pyrite, citrine, yellow calcite and gold are good for the solar plexus chakra, sun squares and money workings. They would go well with the Sol rune. in Jos Diamond is stated to go the best...but we won't all have one lying around.

Orange calcite, fire opal, and carnelian go well with the sacral chakra, tied to the dagaz and kanaz runes. Good for the kundalini and workings with mars.

Red jasper, bloodstone, obsidian, black onyx and black tourmaline are good for protection, and workings with the base chakra, etc and many more.

As for labradorite, have you found that it helps to remove thoughtforms from the aura? Like if they have hooks, it removes them. I read that in the book I linked, and found it to be true (I have 2 small pieces of it). It also helps to shield the aura, very cool.

i would not be suprised as labradorite is also associated with the waning moon while moonstone is vice versa ofcourse. so yes anything to do with removal too

This author Scott Cunningham was a wiccan so keep that in mind. I haven't used any of these in some years but when I did before I found the Jos they were helpful and worked for me. Partly because he explained cleansing and charging pretty well. You could cross check these with other recommended books along with your own intuition and guidance to see what works best for you.

Hello Yes, just carry it or have in your pocket. You can affirm/program it to do that for better results, but this is not necessary.

Yes, they can be drained of their power, but it is easy to re-charge them.

They way they vibrate can help attune into the working or goal you want, so they can just be used that way too, without having energy stored in them.

I think so. The ones you mentioned are probably fine though, go by how you feel. I generally keep crystals down to 1-3 at a time. Or 4 if the 4th is clear quartz as that works well with and amplifies all other crystals, so it can be considered like a "freebie" crystal.
