My Uni course is trying to tell me that only women were allowed to participate in both the Eleusinian Mysteries and the Thesmophoria.

I have read that it was open to Men, Women, and Slaves.

Please clear this up Joy of Satan.
Thanks

From what I understand, Thesmophoria was exclusive to just women as a fertility festival widely celebrated. However, the sources are conflicted but the mysteries, yet the most readily available ones say it was open to men, women, slaves, and even foreigners. The mysteries main promise was that of overcoming death, much like the Joy of Satan today.

Not sure, but what I can see is that information on Wikipedia disagrees with that notion.

It could be a corruption of the fact that spiritual power is feminine in nature, like a corrupted metaphor or something like that. Perhaps similar to the corrupted belief that the Norse people thought that magick was "unmanly" or "womanly", which is what I always assumed was going on with that.

There may be a lot of corruption of certain true occult facts, brother @GoldenxChild1 , as in most of our academic courses, we are told a lot of lies due to the systematic corruption.

The thing is, the Eleusian mysteries are, as brother Hellenic SS said, codes for the 9 pathways of the soul, the ninth one with the ability to become a God.

In the times of practice, the Ancient Greeks weren't gender restricted in terms of not being a problem if you were male, or female.

True fact is that we all have masculine and feminine aspects, just as we have Yin and Yang energies. The key is to balance them while, at the same time, keeping the qualities of the native gender (the gender we were born with) (male, or female).
