Does this forum use cloud storage or any type of backup?

Download everything the JOS as to offer. If you want to go a step further, get an External Hard Drive and then put it all on there in the event your computer loses it.

They should make an actually usable forum back up of the old yahoo groups as the one I found is really hard to use and find stuff in and takes going through countless files to find things. What about the previous yahoo group like 2004 or whatever. This stuff is missing. It would be good for sentimentality.

Btw i uploaded an actually good version of the old forums from 2016 and earlier. I got almost every message to work and pull up on the screen. What you do is go to the files part and old forums back up then click on one of the topics pull it up in the index. Then go to main page of group unlike the regular web archives back up you should be able to click on any message. Please note I had two error messages on there that the page didn't exist but way more worked also this doesn't work very well in some browsers I couldn't get it to come up in Samsung internet at all but Chrome or brave works.

I posted something on this site a couple years ago, and it included some personal information. i’m wondering if it’s still out there, because it got deleted a couple months-a year after when i asked. but i wonder if it’s out there in other forms like backups of this site, downloads, etc

There is a big issue with this site, we are waiting in case the developer can do something, otherwise, we might have to do this on our own eventually. I am partly responsible too in that I also lost the backup [damages to equipment...], backups even with which regardless couldn't be applied without their help.

We definitely DO need this, it's very bad that this isn't up yet.

There are ways, and we will find one to restore this. It's an important thing and will eventually be live again. But maybe in another form.

I totally understand. I think its important for historical reasons and there are many good topics made by HP Maxine and others in there. I do have a back up in pdf format but its not as easy to use like that forum. Thank you for your work.
