No. Vinasa does not do anything to protect anybody, that is the opposite of what it does. It is a destructive thing which erases the soul of whatever you use it on. Using it in any connection to yourself is only going to erase your own soul. Other people here were doing this and it did a lot of damage to them.

Mercury wisdom is correct. This is a death mantra, our HP has also stated this in the past here. It is used for destruction and banishing exclusively not protection in any manner. If you do ever have to use it for any of those two things clean your aura very intensely right after and do not let it sit!
