Black Metal Bands

[The Old Religion]

Why does these satanic bands look so evil and brutal. I mean we as spiritual satansit know that satan and his demons are not evil. We try to educate the world of who satan really is, while you have these satanic bands running around with all these crazy make-up effects on their face. I mean they all look like they just sacrificed and killed a bunch of humans and animals.

Dont get me wrong I like the way they wear their make-up and all the gory looks. It is indeed some bad ass art work. But is it really a positive image of satan? Satan and his demons are known to be beautiful, so why do these guys dress so evil and gory?

The music is good and I like the make-up art or what ever, but im not to sure its a positive image for satan.

Most of them aren't of the Spiritual Satanist persuasion. Most of them are either Anti-Cosmic, theistic, or simply reverse xian.
 There are quite a number of them that do still have a really great message in their music, regardless of what sect of Satanism they believe or practice.

The corpse paint was basically started to differentiate black metal from death metal, as the two seemed to be very easily confused many years ago. It kind of came about and was modified after artists like Alice Cooper and King Diamond, and they were viewed by the world as "Satanic". King Diamond's band Mercyful Fate was considered among the first wave of black metal.

Most black metal bands consider themselves as true warriors for Satan, so they do present an image that incites fear. Any style of metal has always been based upon image since it's creation.

Just take it at face value and enjoy it for what it is. That's my philosophy. Then again, I actually LOVE black metal. lol.

If you look at those bands, their members are not even Satanist, yes in some cases some members are xians. Its obvious they do use Satan for shock value. For example the vocalist Tom Araya of Slayer is a xian, and he did say "hail Satan" at one time and then said he did that for fun. And if you want something closer to Satanism, you've got to look for Pagan themed metal instead of reverse xian "black metal". Isn't Satanism supposed to be ancient Paganism after all?

Slayer doesn't really fall under the umbrella of "black metal" though. They are a thrash metal band. There are a few poser black metal bands out there, but for the most part the point of black metal is that it IS in fact devotional music for Satanists, even though as I have said in earlier posts that most of them are not Spiritual Satanists. Bands such as Emperor, Watain, Dissection, Behexen, Gorgoroth, Deathspell Omega, Setherial, Mactatus, Moon, Besatt, Nokturnal Mortum, and Satanic Warmaster, THOSE are all TRUE black metal, and they are all Satanists with a very strong Satanic message in all of their music. I try not to listen to any of the bands that don't believe in their own message.

Slayer is a great band. They are talented musicians, and they have been a metal ICON for almost 30 years now, but that does not excuse the fact they are not true Satanists, so their music definitely does lose a tremendous amount of it's original appeal when that fact is brought to light. I stopped listening to Slayer after "Seasons in the Abyss".

The Behexen album "My Soul For His Glory" is a grand example of what true Satanic Black Metal is, as is Dissection's album "Reinkaos". Granted Reinkaos lacks the traditional black metal sound of previous Dissection albums, but the message is stronger than ever and quite blatant and understandable. Check out the song "God Of Forbidden Light". The very first line in the song is "HAIL LUCIFER" and it just gets better from there.

There is a lot of shitty black metal out there, as there is with any genre of metal, or music in general for that matter. I guess it just depends on how picky or elitist you want to be when it comes down to it. I'm definitely guilty of being somewhat of a black metal "snob", but not to try to be more "black metal" than the next guy, but simply because I'm very particular about what I listen to.

Black Metal is very much more than just a genre of metal, it is actually a way of life for most of the musicians in these bands, and the fans that closely follow. Its almost as if it is it's own sect of Satanism in a way. Of course it's usually a more destructive and lawless way of Satanic living, but they do firmly believe in Satan, none-the-less.

There are a few really good documentaries on black metal that are floating around on youtube, along with interviews on Satanism with musicians like Ihshan from Emperor, and Gaahl from Gorgoroth. Definitely worth watching if anyone truly wishes to understand black metal.

I like their look and music too, like dimmu borgir, gorgoroth, darkthrone.. so alot of black metal bands being a satanist is doing whatever you want and being happy. I don't think it'll make a difference, honestly, because they are just bands, they aren't actually priests that dress like that all the time. If xians think real satanists are the black metal bands, or black metal fans, then they are even more idiotic. You dont see them following some christain band as a sign of christainity lol

Try listening to some folk metal if you want music with a very Pagan feel, even thought just like black metal bands, the members aren't always Pagan/Satanic.

There is a lot of shitty black metal out there, as there is with any genre
of metal, or music in general for that matter. I guess it just depends on
how picky or elitist you want to be when it comes down to it. I'm definitely
guilty of being somewhat of a black metal "snob", but not to try to be more
"black metal" than the next guy, but simply because I'm very particular
about what I listen to.

Black Metal is very much more than just a genre of metal, it is actually a
way of life for most of the musicians in these bands, and the fans that
closely follow. Its almost as if it is it's own sect of Satanism in a way.
Of course it's usually a more destructive and lawless way of Satanic living,
but they do firmly believe in Satan, none-the-less.

There are a few really good documentaries on black metal that are floating
around on youtube, along with interviews on Satanism with musicians like
Ihshan from Emperor, and Gaahl from Gorgoroth. Definitely worth watching if
anyone truly wishes to understand black metal.

I beleive the same although Dimmu Borgir along with Behemoth and Samael dress normal somewhat if you look at interviews with them where theres no makeup or special dress although Nergal from Behemoths armor and helmet is kickass .

The Pagan metal bands do have the Ancient Pagan heroic warlike mentality, they're not fluffy bunny like neopagans/wiccans. In fact wiccans and xianized pagans avoid this kind of music. But it does have the added advantage of not giving our Gods/Demons a bad name.

some cases some members are xians. Its obvious they do use Satan for shock
value. For example the vocalist Tom Araya of Slayer is a xian, and he did
say "hail Satan" at one time and then said he did that for fun. And went on
to blabber bullshit about his "god" and how great he is and how "christ"
loves everyone. See his info under "religion" here for proof that he is a

Dont get me wrong I like the way they wear their make-up and all the gory
looks. It is indeed some bad ass art work. But is it really a positive image
of satan? Satan and his demons are known to be beautiful, so why do these

Most of the black metal scene is just a bunch of reverse xians, even though I love Dissection, that's what they are, 1 band that's moreso Death Metal, but still glorifys the Gods is; Nile (although they mainly glorify the ancient Egyptian Gods) they're still much more respectful than black metal bands who go along with the xian ideology.

Rotting christ is badass too,they even have a song called "Enuma Elish"

I want to start a real Satanic metal band, we need real Satanic music out there....but for now Dimmu will sufice
