Hello, I've been wondering if others have been utilizing VRChat as a hobby or mission. I've invested over 10,000 hours in VRC since joining in 2019. The potential for social interactions has always intrigued me, given my 7 years of sales experience and genuine character.

I've successfully managed to make a living from the platform and am curious if others share this interest. VRChat now offers Groups, and I've noticed one under JOY OF SATAN, suggesting I'm not alone in this venture.

My journey began casually, but once I acquired VR equipment, I Seemlessly Stumbled upon financial gain (believing I must sustain myself before contributing to a greater cause). I initially established myself in furry communities, leveraging this hyper-niche to build my online social platform. I'm grateful for the wisdom imparted by Dantalion throughout this process

.Currently, I'm well-connected within VRChat, save for a few specific communities. I'm eager to connect with others who've approached this platform as a hobby or are pioneering its potential. VRChat has experienced exponential growth, doubling or tripling in size annually since 2017. I firmly believe it offers opportunities for personal growth and a safe, anonymous space for our community to socialize.

I'd be delighted to meet others iin VRChat as it is a way 2 meet each other saftey while being anonomous .

While I'm all for us expanding, this has bad idea written all over it..

If I were you I wouldn't engage in this at this point in time and you'd be better off investing your time in more secure ways of helping the community.

As for financially, see what you can do with this since you have already been moderately successful on the platform.

I knew someone else like you about one or two years ago, who also played the game.

From what I recall, most of the people they said they met, were mostly the poser type of fake "satanists"; you know the kind. Especially the ones in the ugly goth e-girl/e-boy avatars, they're mostly just emotionally unstable individuals with self-destructive tendencies, who use VRChat as an escape from reality and clearly do nothing to improve themselves. They'll either lurk in front of the mirror in public worlds (if they ever even venture out of their private instances), or they ERP. The Japanese side of VRChat often does the same thing, funnily enough.

Majority of VRChat players are terminally online recluses who are either on there or playing other games as a means of simply killing time. Don't get me wrong, I love the game myself and I have a few thousand hours in it, too. I've gained a lot of love for humanity from learning how people think, their individual goals and desires, and how I've contributed to their lives with my ideals and personality. I've developed unforgettable friendships from it, as well as expertise and confidence in socializing.

But the fact remains that most people on there (or anywhere I guess, since it's a virtual representative of real people in the real world) simply aren't the type to pursue much development for themselves. I know it depends on the maps you go to and the communities you partake in, but this is a pattern I have consistently observed over a variety of places.

If you truly feel incentivized to spread the word on that platform, that's your choice. But even that is not truly anonymous either. World instances have a function that tracks each visitor's IP address, and Quest headsets are owned by Meta/Facebook i.e., Mark Zuckerberg, which are known to be able to see through the headset camera but also the display itself. Meaning just being in the same map as a Quest user already puts you in the sights of that company, let alone the things you would talk about with them.

Vrchat was better back in the early days, from 2017-2018
Nowadays public worlds in vrchat are full of absolute scum, ranging from e-boys and e-girls and their ilk, trannys, leftists, pedophiles, groomers, etc

The good and decent people on vrchat either don't play the game anymore or are in private worlds with their friend circles.

As others have stated, this is not a good idea for promoting the JoS. You can contact @NakedPluto [JG] and ask him how you can help with Outreach, as this is much more effective and less time-consuming.

I also suggest you report that JoS group to a JG or HP Cobra himself, as it is more than likely not affiliated with us and could misguide people.
