there's a tarot deck that I'm very drawn to buy ,it looks nice aesthetically but I encountered some problems:

For one even though the wheel of fortune doesn't have Hebrew letters ,some of the pentacles have hexagrams encircled
And secondly the devil card although not having the red horned image, it still has a little pentagram on it ...
I'm very new to tarot so I wanted to be sure it's not offensive to Satan and the Gods in its imagery and of course not being jewish in anyway.
It's a 78 cards deck, not sure what we are supposed to use as Spiritual Satanists.
Is it okay to use it or should I go for something better?
Thanks in advance to everyone who answers

Does the hexagram look very jewish, or does it perhaps resemble the Star of Astarte more?

Regardless, we have some members who use the original RWS deck but took a black marker to blot out the hebrew, you could do that as well, if you definitely want that deck.

You could look at more decks (you can search for flip-throughs of nearly every deck created, on youtube) and see if you still want that one.

Generally most tarot decks come with basic meaning books. You can get the gist of the suits and what each suit means. Do not use Rider Waite or any tarot with christian/jewish symbolism - do your research and look at the cards online first. Youtube generally has free flipthroughs.

Also for finding a deck - Look at Pammy's thread here

I've already seen the flip trough of these cards, and the hexagrams are really just what they look.

The tarot deck in question is animal themed, not very conventional I know, but i love animal symbolism, it's called "oriens animal tarot".
The cards I'm not convicted are the devil card and the 3 of pentacles

This was very useful thanks, perhaps if the deck I'm doubtful about reveals to be not good I'm going to buy one of those in the Pammy's thread

Thanks Hps Lydia

You can run a search online to find animal themed tarot decks that are free from religious symbols. Lots of people don't want religious symbols so it's becoming very common to find lots of decks without any :)

HPS Lydia, I'd be curious to see your input on tarot - I remember we spoke about it briefly and you have plans to make a thread someday.
I was thinking of making a general thread with a weekly card (Ace of cups for example) and asking people what they think it means or how they interpret it/why and maybe showing their favourite card image.

No, I have bigger plans. The JoS will be expanded to cover more subjects. That's all I will say for now.
