About Bitcoin Donations - Better To Donate Other Coins

What is the most suitable coin that can be purchased within trust wallet? Monero is not available to buy from within the app :-/

TRX is a very good coin to buy, and transfers instantly. Thank you for caring about this.

I would like to donate but I can't because of the very low value of my country's currency. But three years later _when I study for a master's degree in Europe with a scholarship, and work there_ I can donate. I am currently working on translating the website content, I think I can send a part of it after the my exams

Do not worry, the situation is highly restraining for you. I wish you the best of luck when you grow up more and get the situation under control. All the best.

I am trying one of the different coins at the moment and apparently, the transaction failed. I will have to rectify this with the bank. The vendor that I am using never used to do this so it is extremely annoying.

Strange, I believe TRX should be fairly easy to buy, or XRP. Banks constantly do these issues when it comes to Crypto, they hate the fact money goes out from them into another place where it can be stored. Thanks for all your efforts that you do Sister.

Hello!
I've done the steps through downloading the exodus wallet and I'm going to buy the Monero crypto however when I try doing so, the app wants me to make a new log in so I can "checkout" so to speak with "Moonpay" and needs my actual name and information. I would like to donate however I would like to keep it anonymous. how do I go about this? I just get a bad feeling I've heard of crypto before. I'm a beginner and don't want anything to go wrong. Thank you!

Buying from an exchange such as you are buying necessitates you to use your real identity. This is based on laws and regulations around these platforms as they have grown enormous over the past decade. You should not be afraid of giving your personal information to these large companies as they are reputable in the business in that regard. But you should never keep funds in the wallet of the exchange longer that is required because there have been several cases over the years where some questionable decisions have been made and people have lost their funds from their wallets. Instead, store your funds in your own "cold wallet". However, if you buy crypto from such a place, you can make transaction instantly to the JoS wallet which removes the need for your own wallet. But if you want to store personal funds, have your own wallet.

Buying anonymously requires you to make the exchange for cash with someone you do not know. Doing a semi-anonymous exchange would require you to give your name (as in, a bank transfer requires this) is another option.

I have not really looked too deep into this, but the following website can provide useful for you. https://kycnot.me/ As always, do your own study around the subject. By being educated you stay relevant to today's issues.

Thanks for the tip, HP HoodedCobra666. However, I have had very good experiences with coinbase in Germany. In contrast, I have often had very bad experiences with Exodus. Also, the fees with Exodus are higher than with coinbase and bitcoins are not transferred as quickly with Exodus as with coinbase. I can transfer directly from my bank to coinbase and it arrives quickly. With Exodus, it's much more complicated and goes through a third-party provider.

With coinbase, you have to register and then verify yourself. Everything is super secure.

This is not an advertisement for coinbase. I just want to share my experience. I follow the motto: never change a running system.

However, I will follow your advice to try other cryptocurrencies such as XMR, XRP, TRX or ADA.

There is one way for more technical oriented people and its called BisQ it is desktop software that allows you to connect directly to the bitcoin blockchain and it has a decentralized network, so there is no corporation to take fees. There are some small fees however for the guys that keep the software up and to use it you have to have some bitcoin to enact the first transaction. If you have Zero bitcoin then it is difficult to get your toe in the door. But you can still install it and see how it works. Totally bypasses the KYC crap.
Hello, The Raven, thanks for this tip. I'll have a look at it. But how do I do that with the bitcoins? Don't I have to have deposited them on another platform beforehand in order to transfer them to BisQ?
OK, I'll have a look at that.

Yes a place like coinbase works good. you can buy a few bitcoin and transfer them to the Bisq wallet and then send them onward or use them to purchase some on Bisq itself.

There would be more fees to send from an exchange to a wallet from which to the donation address, especially with Bitcoin fees being high. Essentially one unnecessary hoop. Sending straight from the exchange is recommended with high-fee cryptocurrency as one extra hoop does no good in this process (more time and money spent on moving funds). Plus there is no anonymity when buying Bitcoin from an exchange as your name is tied to the purchase and the blockchain has all the transactions publicly listed. To get anonymity when buying Bitcoin one has to use cash money to buy from someone not requiring your identification.

Yes, that's definitely true what you write is definitely true. I've had that experience too.
