A Question About The Chemical Substance DMT

hello everyone,
i have a question about a special chemical that is said to be produced by the
pineal gland, called DMT

it is also said to be what causes dreams,near-death experiences, and it is
released in high amounts during meditation.

but the key question is,
what is its power? what can it truly do? and what does it have to do with our
psychic abilities? because if it does all of that,

and is produced from the, "seat of our soul"
it must have some type of hidden use were not aware of,

so anyone care to assist me in this vast quest for higher knowledge on such a
brain-chemical?

Neurochemistry and spirituality should be combined. I can't help you with the spiritual function of DMT. Pheromones are another matter, though.
