Reaching out to my guardian Daemon on a personal matter,
I've been guided by him/her and inspired to write this poem.
It's the first piece I've ever "published" (on a couple of free poetry sites),
and my first attempt at writing about spirituality in English.
It's a very personal letter, so to speak.. and I hope it's well received by you,
my brothers and sisters in Satan,
as I thought it was only fitting and respectful that I share it within our community too.
I want to thank you for your time reading this, and I wish you all strength and wisdom!
Hail Satan ! Hail all the Gods of Hell !
Asking My Commander
From the day I saw the light of the hospital’s OR
Losing to amnesia everything I ever known
Much like Alexandria on it’s brightest final dawn
You’ve seen me small but breathing, blindfolded once more
Though I could not recognize, you had me in your care
For I stayed my former course, in the years that followed
As blindfolded as I was, my ears turned off them liars
Them who faked their origin preaching their bestseller
Them who use dogmas and agendas, world enslavers
Those who fooled free spirits into self-destructing prayer
To serve a made-up God who will kill them whatsoever.
I’ve been shown the ancient road going through the darkness
The one path I hadn’t took to fix my earthly problems
The rope across my eyes no longer could restrain me
Took some steps towards you, and there’s still so many
Had I been happy, as blindfolded, if my ears turned to the liars
My soul would surely die. You didn’t let that happen.
As you’re guiding my soul, up the serpentine roads
Well beyond my stars and constellations across.
Yet, I fear my heart gets numb and my fire is at cost
For sad years pass me by, a mortal by the river.
As I’m stationed in a nest of non-believers
Who would end my flesh if they knew of my religion
I ask you, my commander, for whom that I have lost
When I turned love away for the sweet poison of lust
From beyond my stars and constellations across
I beg of my commander who’s been guiding me since birth
To bless me with her love, the chance to start anew
Blessed by God’s protection, always fighting for the Truth
For I believe in life and the beauty of creation
Should you deem me worthy, I vow this gift to cherish.
