Hi everyone
So I been practicing going into a trance and trying to sink deeper in.
I do find that when I’m in a trance I feel more confident (affirmations are much easier)
And I feel a deeper sense of calm and relaxation, I do get a little tripped out when my eyes are open , but I think that’s cool and just affirms that I’m getting the desired effect.
However from my experience being in this state makes most meditations seem harder? Or less effective.
I’m not overthinking about the results or feeling like I’m really having difficulty while in a trance, but I notice actually doing energy work or visualisation it dosnt seem like I’m achieving as much.
Actually despite quite a bit of euphoria and a natural “high” I guess you could call it. Everything feels much different .
Which isn’t a bad thing.
However actually trying to do my meditation schedule in this trance feels like I should just redo them after I leave the trance.
Aura cleaning for example , while with my eyes open it’s quite easy to kinda see a lot of what I would describe as either fog or light naturally just from being in the trance and not having my eyes fixed on anything, actual visualising light all over myself or more so the chakras seems much less like I’m actually doing anything.
Same with energy breathing , everything seems to go really slow and it dosnt quite feel like I’m actually breathing in the energy.
So is all this normal? To me it kind of feels like just a mental experience and less so a spiritual one, for lack of a better way of explaining it .
I’m assuming that as I get used to these states these things will improve.
The change of state actually is quite cool and new to me, I do enjoy the experience so far
But I thought being in a trance always seems like it would amplify things. In my case it almost seems like the opposite
Any advice? Or am I doing it wrong ?

Well, after all, trance IS a mental experience instead of a spiritual one, because it makes your brain function as if it was asleep, yet keeping you conscious and awake. This facilitates a conscious work on your subconscious mind, which is easily maleable during trance.

However, it seems to me that you probably don't feel as much because you can't visualize as good, and you are naturally visualizing better with your eyes opened. But probably you didn't try meditating with your eyes opened during trance, or you thought you had to do it with eyes closed.
You can try this and feel how it goes.
