If you have premonitions in your dreams where you dream of things and then they happen the next day, is it okay to tell your family about it? Or should I keep all of them secret?

What experiences do you have of premonition and how much could it be such confiding it with the person directly involved?

In these cases you should act according to those in front of you, and above all listen to your intuition.
Very often we feel that we do not have to confide, talk about one thing, or express a judgment: you should develop the habit of being consistent with your intuition, considering your prospects of spiritual progress. If you are not sure, the rule is to avoid talking too much.
Also with the family.
If you have negative feelings and you want to protect someone, warn or act without necessarily explaining your premonitions.
People with special gifts - but also special ambitions and interests - are not always free to talk about it openly. As many of their experiences and feelings are incomprehensible to others, and may result in fear or other unpleasant reactions or circumstances.

It depends on what type of premonition it is (what it means to you) and how do your family members usually behave (are they skeptical or also sensitive to dreams). If you have hardcore xians or gossipers in your family, I recommend you to be careful (you wouldn't want your secret out to everyone else). If there is someone that you can trust (and make sure that he/she isn't envious of you), then maybe you can share it. They may give you another point of view.
