As a general rule of thumb, I would say no. There are certain aspects of Buddhism that can be helpful, but you need to understand that the wisdom they offer has mostly been acquired from Hinduism, Taoism, and Bon. The rest has been added later by buddhists. If you want a some kind of effigy or idol, there are plenty of options you can choose from! I personally have a bronze Nataraja (dancing) Shiva from Hinduism. You could get the Jade Emperor, Batala Guru, and Izanagi. For female goddesses Amaterasu, Parvati, or Xiwangmu.
There are plenty of Gods, Goddesses, and mythical creatures that you can put around you house. While it's nice for decoration, these items have meaning. Always treat them with respect. I know it's easy to get the cute dolls and statues that religions like Buddhism have to offer. Look into the religions that Buddhism took from. That's where the real stuff is with real meaning.
