Other #75968 Reversed cards tarot

I usually don't use reversed tarot cards when doing readings. Mainly because, from what I've researched in the past, the tarot deck already has a good balance between "negative" and "positive" cards. I like to keep it mainly simple and use oracle cards for additional context where it's needed.

Technically speaking, getting reverse cards can have a different meaning if you do your tarot readings that way. It depends fully on whether you're doing them with this in mind. If you're only focusing on the cards as they are, I'd recommend ignoring the fact that it's upside down and reading it as you normally would.

I'm not an expert in tarot. That's how I personally do it.

These are important. When a card is reversed it indicates the affairs of this card are manifesting in a wrong way, or the opposite way of the original meaning of the card.

It is a very important part of divination with Tarot. If you draw Ace of Swords reversed and you read this as Ace of Swords upright, your divination will be very wrong.
Be careful with that.

These are also necessary for a detailed interpretation. The deck by itself, not counting reversed cards, does not fully encompass all affairs in reality that can be Divined with the Tarot.
When you include the meanings of reversed cards, it does encompass all divination. They are of vital importance for accurate Divination with the Tarot.

Well that I did not know, great to keep in mind then. 😄

I've been doing tarot longer than I've been an SS, reversals are essential. HPS Maxine wrote that they are important and valid.

This will be explained in-depth soon.
