What the title reads. Dedicated SS, wondering if it is somehow disrespectful to eat Goat since it is one of Satan's sacred animals.

Would it be wrong to eat it? Genuinely uncertain, and curious. I've had lamb... want to avoid being disrespectful to my God.

Thank you for any feedback.

I don't know what animals are eaten culturally in different countries of the world, but I can tell you that I always try not to abuse animals. For example, I avoid eating the meat of young animals (like lambs, etc.) because it is not right to take their life just because "their meat is better because they are young", I prefer to have a meal with an animal that has been treated with respect.

No. Just avoid halal and kosher if possible.

Those kinds of food restrictions are rooted in allegory, which was woefully misinterpreted.
Treating an animal as sacred does not involve denying reality and the circle of life, quite the opposite. You're supposed to understand it and honor the ecosystem of the Earth.

Eat to your heart's delight and to your optimal health, no other extra restrictions.

As JG Karnonnos pointed out, avoid things like:
- halal (participating in the food restrictions of these religions)
- kosher (the "proper rules for animal treatment" within it are actually rituals which are overall negative for us to partake in)

I have the same approach, I do not buy "young" meat, this does not feel ok to me.
I also think cows and sheeps are forced to be pregnant too often to produce more "young meat", so it is against natural cycles.
