What are our thoughts on them? Personally I view them as almost being pornographic. Porn as we know is made to turn us into addicted degenerates. Violent video games are made to glorify violence and brutality. I don't think they have a place in our world.

I turned out quite fine, if I myself may say so
Same here. Wasn't allowed to show aggression let alone be "violent" growing up so I put of natural born martial abilities in first-person shooters for probably way too many hours. Freedom to practice irl stuff has changed my outlet, but yes, I would say we're more than okay ourselves lol.

Just like sex, there is no life or nature without force, including things people find frightening. Good job having a civilization without soldiers.

Many representations of violence in films, tv shows and video games are corrupting in motive and designed to lead people astray but others are an expression of basic reality, particularly among men.

Anger only being funnelled into GTA and not doing anything in reality to assert rights is a problem however.

If you're talking about video games like GTA or other things where you play violent criminals, I've always considered my friends "psychopaths" for wanting to play certain characters. They talked to me about "escaping from reality", but if that's where you want to escape, to me you're a psychopath. If you actually enjoy being a psychopath, you're living in degradation. That's the idea I've always supported.
Driving an NPC over in a car and finding it funny is really not suggestive of psychopathy. If that were true perhaps 99 percent of men and (sorry) even more women would be considered psychopaths. Psychopathy is an aggressive antipathy and lack of emotional effect towards real others, actual people.

Lmao, same here xD

Idk, Romans had gladiators fight and kill each other for entertainment and Azetcs/Mayans and every other civilization in pre-Columbian America practiced human sacrifice to placate the Gods like a workout routine. A video game where you shoot some NPCs is probably fine compared to that.
