Greetings to all brothers and sisters in Satan,

My question concerns career guidance and I would like to ask you to share your experience or advice on how you put together your personal life, family life, spiritual and intellectual development, and profession.

I will state the essence, for my life I had to change a lot of professions and try a lot of things, but I can not determine something suitable, where you can possibly develop and grow and at the same time do not lose the purpose of life.

Briefly I will tell you about the most important experience...

I had a good career in the engineering industry, but as your qualification increases, you literally live at work and only go home to sleep, that's if you don't have business trips. Everyone just needs you, all the time, weekends are a dream. It's not even about money, it's about wanting to grow as a professional. Sooner or later you'll grow up to head of department.

I had to leave my job because I didn't have enough time for my family, meditation and mental advancement, and my health was failing due to lack of sleep.

Colleagues have everything in normal, they have no reason in life as if they were robots coming home to sleep, buy something for themselves, engage in little hobbies and continue to work, it's a very sad sight.

I had a chance to work in the power structures, I had to quit, because it is a constant lie, constant violence, it is a total theft and so on, it is impossible to combine it with the cultivation of virtue, you in fact find yourself in an environment where the only method of work is extreme cruelty and trickery, it has a negative impact on the soul and traumatizes the mind, that I can express from personal experience.

I don't like simple professions like trading or advertising, I don't like to work only for money, as businessmen, I prefer fundamental professions that require some kind of immersion and qualification, it should benefit people, that's important for me.

I dream of qualifying as a doctor, but how to combine it with life progression, I have no idea. It's a demanding profession and will take many years to study and also live on the workplace.

So, the question is addressed to people with an established life. I will be glad to receive your advice.

Are you qualified to teach engineering? Or can you be quickly qualified to teach, such as only having to take a few courses? Teachers have much more free time, steady salary, and often have satisfaction from their work, along with opportunity to do side-projects.

Just an idea, perhaps not what you were looking for though.

As for being a doctor, like you said, it still takes all your time and many years. If you already went to engineering school you might find it difficult to go back to school to train for another career, but it does happen to some people.

Not necessarily. Working part time with a high end qualification is doable unlike with being employed for manual labor where pay is meager.

I would look into setting up shop (entrepreneurship). This does not automatically mean shorter workdays, but it can lead to it eventually.

Engineering industry is a good number pal.

Would suggest you go for that and try find a good work/life balance.

All the best.

Maybe in a functioning country but not in Hungary and most Balkan ones as far as I know lol. Teachers have a lot on them and the salary is very mediocre or below here. I would love teaching but teaching is perhaps the worst job (in objective ways) that requires diploma.
