Im pretty sure its located between the anus and genitals, on the opening the watchtowers section of JoS Maxine states that the chakra at the base of the tailbone is just the rear extension it seems to house the serpent so its a "unique" chakra extension and thus more powerful and very important much like how the third eye is an extension of the sixth chakra yet has unique properties, I may be wrong but repeatedly on JoS it is stated the chakras are located in the center of the body and the rear extensions are along the spine so I dont know why the base chakra would be an exception I may be wrong but I have researched this a lot lately and unless the info is out of date JoS I think its between the genitals and anus but I will say JoS does seem to present conflicting information regarding the location of the base chakra and it would be good for a guardian or priest/ess to provide clarity because even on the forums there's a different answer to this question each time its asked as I have researched it a lot.

As far as I know from the 'opening watchtowers' meditations ; center base chakra is located between the anus and the genitals and the rear base chakra is the located at the base of the spine. Also when we check the circulating energy meditations , this meditation info tells us center base chakra is 'is a power spot' (step7) . After than this at step 8 it says 'Move the energy to your base chakra and meditate for 3-4 minutes or so on your base chakra.' this is the 'MAIN' Base chakra that which bottom of the spine at the coccyx. Also kundalini serpent sleeps here .

But I am not sure completely because rear base chakra is looking center of the body trough to between the anus and the genitals (place called 'power spot'). When I am doing chakra meditations I genereally do both and when I am doing Raum meditation I use base chakra that between the anus and the genitals (place called 'power spot') .

For this reason I have focused on the middle area more than the base of the spine which the latter would mean it's directly under the back extension sacral Chakra as stated.


Saying it's at the base might have been general advice and specifically it's between the anus and genitals. I'm just assuming though.

I don't know if your still reading this but I believe I was mistaken I no longer think the base chakra is located at the perineum and instead I think it is in fact at the base of the tailbone, not only does this location feel easier to draw energy from, feel stronger when I vibrate LAUM but I contacted my guardian demon and although I didn't get the strong response I usually receive to confirm the answer was from my GD it still felt fairly definitive.
Im unsure if I am correct this time but I think the opening the watchtowers section may just be wrong as it directly contradicts everything else written on JoS about how the chakras follow along (in front of) the spine.
