does anyone here work with tarot cards that apply a meaning to them if they are reversed? I've read many different interpretations online in general, some saying the reversed position amplifies the upright position, but also others saying reversed has the opposite meaning or can even be a no in a yes no question in comparison to the upright position.

Is all of this accurate and should the reversed meanings be applied or used at all or is this a matter of preference? I just has 4 cards come up all reversed and because of what I read about reversed tarot cards I almost always interpret a negative connotation in general.

Reversed Tarot cards are legitimate amd sometimes necessary. Although you shouldn't start with them if you are a beginner because they can be confusing and a bit harder to interpret.

The way you can think about reversed Tarot cards is that they are similar to Retrograde planets. The energies go backwards and are introverted. With negative cards this may intensify the negativity just like Saturn retrograde. Reversed cards can also signify an ending of a cycle.

Some positive cards retain their postivity even when reversed just like how Jupiter retrograde is still positive. An example for this is the Sun card.

Yes sometimes reversed cards signify a no to your answer. But sometimes depending on the nature of the cards it means a yes or a maybe.

You can Google the card that you got if it means a yes or a no to get more clarity.
