I think it's best to Sun Gaze when you're doing meditations on your pineal gland or third eye. I'm not too sure though, I'm getting the idea from this:

Staring into the sun is not the best thing to do. The nuuuuu aged is very superficial and trendy. Some claims get made by so and so. It gets passed  around with miracle claims but no proof. Then everyone is spouting it as some transcendental truth. And turning it into a racket. While calling the unbelievers unenlightened. Its identical to the evangelical trend and circuits. There was some Jain who claimed to have lived on water and sun gazing for months. But he looked like something a dog shit out on the highway after eating all night out of  trash.  The nuuuu aged is always selling some stupid trend.
