What is the significance of the spider in Satanism? Are there any demons who sometimes appear as a spider?
Thank you for any help you can provide...and yes, I'm serious.
Almost all animals have significance in Satanism, animals are sacred to Satan.
When it comes to associations and being drawn to or feeling ties with an animal, this is in the symbolical and representative sense in that the animal matches some sort of aspect to your soul composition and/or personality, your energies if you will. Everything in the universe resonates on specific energy signatures even in mere symbology, it is insurmountably common that all kinds of things in the universe can vibrate and resonate upon the same energies as something else essentially sharing one another's properties. This is where a connection in association is formed and we know these even in what we call 'rulerships' that you see in the profiles of planets and coloured energies as well as gems and stones.
An example of this association is how the Earth element, Black coloured energy, Saturn and the Onyx stone all resonate on the same relative vibrations and energy signatures, therefore they have a like-connection with one another and all work with the same thing, so they can be used to empower the aspects of one another, such as if you're low on the earth element you can use black energy on yourself to help raise that because it is ruled by the earth element and vice versa.
These connections however do not
make you that thing though, you're no more an animal than you are a planet, but you can
embrace the energies of such and "understand" it as they do in a form of energy invocation, just be careful with this though not everything is good, trust me when I say you don't want to connect that deeply with Saturn. Focusing on a relative association of yourself that you are drawn to can help centre you to who you are as an individual if you find yourself growing out of touch with your healthy balance and composition, but too much focus and obsession on one or two in particular can do the exact opposite in that you are tipping the scale too far.
Focusing and connecting with something will raise any associated energies in your soul and this can be done far too much if you do it way too frequently and regularly and it can make you delusional or offset in some way which can then manifest other problems in other areas that you may not even notice until it it negatively hits you hard. Everything in moderation.
In any event, the demons seem to have animals they (so I assume, I do not know 100%) appear to resonate or feel connected in some sort of likeness with. For example it is no surprise to me that Andras's animal, chief of security in hell and trainer of warriors, is the strong, unshakable, fearsome, protective and noble wolf.
Some people seem to be more connected to animals in general in their nature as well and this can happen if you have a strong inclination to natural things overall, the earth element, plants or are even just having been a strong pagan from past lives. This isn't necessarily a bad thing in and of itself but these however are also the people that let this get way too far and become the cringy 'otherkin' who think they're wolves in a human body or that "in all realms but physical I am this animal" or say they can shapeshift or weird and extremely delusional things like that.
There's a primal nature there though in the soul and all I can tie to it any research in history is the berserker vikings that would embrace the energy aspects of animals like the wolf or bear through battle to become fearless and feral, unhindered by things like pain even and it reaped them many victories. But that's all it is, energy association. Energies, not physical or logical reality.
Above all we are humans, Satan's children in his likeness and image. We should be embracing this as who we are, not trying to escape it or obsess on being something else in some way.
