'smudging'

Do Satanist 'smudge'? If so, how is it done? If not, how do we cleanse ourselves and our homes? My apologizes if I sound dumb for asking. Thank you in advance.

I don't claim to be an authority here, new to the group, but practiced spiritual studies for a while.  Though I can assure you that smudging isn't something you have to worry about as to whether or not it affects the type of relationship a person can develop with spiritual entities.  I'm fairly certain that smudging is more about aligning your mind and entering into a magical/spiritual state of consciousness, which is something that is generally good to do before and after a ritual.  Though whether or not it's required I'd just say try both ways and see what you prefer.

No we do not. Smudging does nothing spiritually, unless you put energy into it. But you could put that same energy into a banishing spell and have a far greater effect than you would smudging.

You could simply burn some nice incense if it's physical smell you are concerned about cleaning.

Other than that to spiritually and properly clean your house and property, do a banishing ritual and place an aura of protection over your house and property to keep it clean and free of negative energy, unwanted entities and curses and other crap.

As for the house different ways are suitable but will leave that for someone else to explain.
