how long do most people wait before doing the dedication ceremony? I'm researching Satanists for a Sociology project, and would really love to be able to speak so someone who practices.

I don't know about other brothers/sisters but I find this insulting. We're NOT research material. We're not a culture because Satanism=freedom and individuality and there's no set time how much one waits to dedicate. We have no set rules. If you're really interested in JOINING (or even researching) Spiritual Satanism itself then read the JoS site and you don't need to contact any people, otherwise you won't find anything here.

Yes, that varies. There is no one set way to do it, or a set time to
wait. Personally, I waited several months before dedicating. I read
the Joy of Satan site thoroughly; I wished to make certain that this
was the right path for me, and it was.

I do find it a bit odd that you are researching this, supposedly. Read
the Jos site. Most of your questions are probably answered on there. I
know you didn't mean to insult us, but I do find this a bit strange.

I did not use the world "culture." However, now that you mention it...one could use the word "culture" in that Satanists are a group bound together by the same beliefs and practices who generally speak the same language.
I'm not researching Satanism itself. I'm examining the way people perceive Satanists, and how you guys are affected by those perceptions. I apologize if I offended anyone.
Reading the JoS site, which i have, will not provide me with the information I'm looking for. Although I found the site helpful in explaining what you guys believe, I'm more interested in the individual's experiences with the faith. Again, sorry for any offensive behavior. FWiW, I chose this faith myself. It wasn't assigned to me. I figured you guys were misunderstood so often because the average joe doesn't take the time to learn about Satanism. I'm just trying to make myself a more tolerant, well-rounded person, and as a bonus, fulfill a school requirement.

If you're interested about the individual's experiences the best thing to do is become a Spiritual Satanist yourself and record your experiences, presenting these experiences as someone else's (in case you fear of persecutions). Of course we don't trust outsiders and do not give personal info to them, you should know that. It's even in the Al-jilwah.

And also you should read the rules, it's about learning Spiritual Satanism itself, not personal info about members or their lives. Like I said, asking personal questions irrelevant to SS itself is insulting to some of us. WE are not research material, Spiritual Satanism is actually the research material.

FYI, being a "tolerant" person is not always a good thing, especially when it is against the enemy religions. Christianity, islam and judaism are lies and caused much lies to us and our Gods and destroyed humanity and must be destroyed. If somebody is "tolerant" to these hoaxes and supports them then he's against us and Satan and he distregards all the problems they've caused us.

When we are new we have lots of questions and have no clue what Satanism
is about. Some do the dedication ritual only to find later down the line they
do not really agree and feel comfortable practicing Satanism. It's so easy to
get side tracked from the truth and for a lot of people the truth hurts. In
reality, the truth will set you free!
This is why I would stress the importance of doing your homework and
full research of Satanism. The Joy Of Satan website has a lot of true and
accurate knowledge when it comes to the origins of Satanism. Read and study
before you go jumping into doing your dedication ritual. It would save you a lot
of trouble in the long run.

If you take this into consideration, by the time you truly get ready
to dedicate. You would have a better understanding of what it is your getting
into. A better understanding on who the Gods really are and what they are not.
A better understanding of our purpose and how Father Satan fought for
his children.

Father Satan doesn't get angry over little things like that! He is a wonderful, loving God. And it doesn't matter where the blood is from. I had to stab 4 or 5 different fingers for a total of 7 times before I got any blood. No big deal.

I was recently watched the movie "Chronicle", and it got me thinking; if we tried hard enough, and put enough effort into it, would we actually be able to reach that level? I'm not talking so much about the flying part, though that would be beyond awesome, but more like the seemingly effortless, and almost sub-concious controling objects with their minds.

I ask because, more than anything, that kind power is what I dream of. And I'm not an idiot, I know that it's not going to happen over-night, it takes unbelievable dedication and determination, just to recieve even a small amount of power. I just want to know if the level of power displayed in that movie would be realistic for us.

I recently had a dream, a good and wonderful dream. In this dream, I had telekinesis. And though I wasn't very powerful, I was happy, truly happy. I can honestly say, with 100% absolution, that I have never once in my entire life, ever been as happy as I was in that one singular moment in that dream, when I thought that I could do something supernatural. It is what I have desired the most, and it is that thirst, that finally brought me to Satanism.

For most of my life I attended church with my mother and gradfather. I was raised in the "Good wholesome xian lifestyle", and unlike so many on here, I actually believed. I believed in it whole-heartedly and argued fiercely with anyone who disagreeed. I believed everything they told me, hook-line-and-sinker. I would listen in wonder to all the marvelous stories the missionaries would tell us; the miraculous events that seemed to happen to them a commonly as breathing.

I would sit there and pray to 'god', "Please let me witness a miracle, just one. I beg of you, please, that's all I want, just one." I would have settled for anything, even something as insignificant as a cold being heald, but alas, all I recieved, and all I would ever recieve was the sound of myself constantly groveling like a pathetic worthless mutt. And if that wasn't bad enough, they had me so dupped that I actually blamed myself for my misfortune, believing myself to be the sole problem, me and my so-called lack of "faith".

Thankfully I grew out of my naivety, and started to realize the truth. Or rather, first it was rebellion, which then turned into realization. Heh You're not the only one mate.People here know very well that I get carried away while typing and not just a bit
I think that I believed as well, as a little kid, but grew out of it pretty quickly. I was never that devoted, even though I was going to the xian high school lol. I always treated going to church as a some soert of... punishment? Never liked the place and beieng forced to go there. Then it was materialism/atheism. It's not really worth mentioning.What I am now is that matters and what I strive to become. I am a full fledged Satanist on my path to be a God.
I did have that power hungry attitude before as well, especially as a kid. I was reading a lot about magic and stuff. But looking back, I believe that attitude came from my need to acccepted by others as well as a need to show everyone that I'm special. And so I craved somethnig nobody else had.
But now... Satanism is about becoming Your own God, literally. It's about growing in wisdom, knowledge and power. And in friendship with Our Gods as a child of father Satan. All the powers will come naturally as We progress, because they are Our part.Striving for power/powers only is a dangerous path. Without knowledge, discipline, proper guidance and protection, the way of power is a treacherous one. It can easily decieve, corrupt and destroy You, especially when Our enemies will most likely have a part to play in the drama.Mental asylums are packed with people who wanted nothing else than being special/have power. Giving one something, while knowing very well it will destroy him is an effective tactic.
It sounds to me like You first have to come to terms with Yourself, to get to know Yourself and accept the fact that You aren't perfect and not someone You think You are. Then You can work on changing that, by using tools of Power Meditation, Yoga and/or many others. I, for example, have always been anti-social, I used to have a lot of problems interacting with people, especially those I didn't know, even some members of my own family. But it got a lot better during all those years and the desire for power has lessened along with it, replaced by the desire to educate myself, enlighten and develop and then, sieze all the power I can handle

I'm not an idiot, I know that recieving any amount of power will take time, patience, and an unbelievable amount of dedication and determination. But I was just woundering that if we tried hard enough, put enough effort into it, would we eventually be able to become that strong?

I ask because, that, more than anything is what I desire most out of life. I couldn't care less about fame, fortune would be nice, but ultimately power is what I long for.

I had a dream recently. A good and truly wonderful dream. In this dream I had the power of telekinesis, and I was happy, so happy. And though I wasn't really powerful, I was happy, more than happy, I was elated, joyous, the happiest I have ever been. My family thinks that I'm ridiculous for wishing for that kind of power. They say that I'm nothing but a naive child living in a fantacy world, and that I need to "Come back down to Earth" and start living in reality. As if to say that "Reality" is SO, freaking perfect. They don't get it, and they never will. My entire family, even the ones who don't go to church, all believe in the xian 'god'. I would sit there and listen to the wonderful stories told to us by the missionaries, about all these miraculous events that seemed to happen to them as commonly as breathing, and I longed for something similar to happen to me; begged for it like a pathetic worthless groveling mutt. I would sit there for hours pleading with their 'god' saying, "Please let me witness a miracle, just one, it doesn't have to be something major. I just want to see something, please." Of course nothing happened, nothing ever did.

But I should be thankful; had something supernatural happened, I probably would have stayed. The complete and uter lack of any and all things even slightly pertaining to the supernatural in my life, is what ultimately caused me to stray from xianity.

Stumbling accross the JOS sight by accident, or maybe it was more, that day, was the best thing that happened to me. Sorry that it's a bit long, I tend to get carried away when I type.

I have come across plenty of rubbish like this--in the book of Revelation in the LIE[/B]-ble!  And I have come across plenty of other articles that, while they bash the kikes, are blatantly pro-xian.  Everywhere you turn, there are tons of articles that have xian origins--including things that advise people to do certain things that may be good advice but for the wrong reasons.  Use common sense--it's the kikes creating shortages (sometimes artificial and sometimes bringing said shortages down on themselves), not the LIE[/B]-ble, that is creating these situations. Only three days of darkness?  I thought society has been in darkness ever since those filthy kikes started fucking around with ancient religion.  Christi-SCAM[/B]-ity created plenty more than three days of darkness for mankind already.  Soon it will be the kikes that will be in for a lot more than three days of darkness that will end in their destruction--and I look forward to seeing the filthy angels being bound in pitch dark (with a lion) forever.

It depends how far through you are, if you are only a few days/weeks through. It wouldnt hurt to go back and start again, just to refresh your mind and further strengthen those areas. Also, if there was an area that you felt you struggled with, or needed to work on more. Go back to that and start again from there. If not then just keep going from where you left off, maybe starting that section over.

When doing the spell just focus 'indirectly' on the person who stole the chairs by focusing on someone walking up to your porch and stealing them. in your mind and with your will KNOW that the energy is going to the target. I’ve thought about this for a bit…for my purposes both this as well as what Shannon suggested should work wonderfully. It’s the feeling of being a powerless victim that bothers me about it, and doing something should remedy this.
