I have had a total of 3 seizures during my 21 years of living. Two when I was 9 and one just last year (I believe this could be explained, as after I was released that night I found out that the sun transit my natal Mercury).

While in the ER, I had a CT scan and it was clean. I am now on medication, Keppra, but I still operate normally.

I have not had another since and when I do yoga, I don't feel any pain from the rise in bioelectricity. On the website, it specifies that one should take this slowly or not at all.

Should I be worried about this affecting my spiritual progress? Should I have concerns about raising the Kundalini or is this simply not an option during this lifetime given my condition?

I would say proceed with caution. I think most of the meditations on the JoS are perfectly safe for people who are prone to seizures and here's why:

The definition of a seizure is "a sudden, uncontrolled burst of electrical activity in the brain." So what HPS Maxine states is absolutely true, take it SLOW or not at all. When the brain and body don't have time to process and adapt to a sudden spike of bioelectricity, this can happen, even in the healthiest of individuals.

Most meditations don't produce this kind of power, so I think they are safe to do. Once you've had a seizure you know what it feels like. If you feel "weird", like you know a seizure is coming up, then stop whatever you're doing.

Certain practices that either produce a lot of energy in the brain or cause a lot of energy to pass through it (like when energy can flow freely from the base to the crown, passing through the brain) can cause jerks and uncontrolled movements as the body adapts to the energy.

Obviously, starting and stopping meditation can be very dangerous due to the fluctuations in power, so make sure you don't miss more than 36-48 hours between meditations.

Don't ever tell yourself that you will be like this forever and that you can't accomplish something due to physical limitations in your current incarnation. That's not the case! Just go at your own pace and be careful.
